@mariorox3 So it turns out it's only the ambient light sensor. It projects infrared lights which human eyes cannot pick up, but cameras with no IR filter can. I was as stumped as you were but now it makes perfect sense.

Ok, I'm using an iPod Touch, and After the free 30 day trial, can you still call for free like on iCall? Or do they charge you if you call people after the free 30 day trial?

If you can still call for free, then I'm going with Line2! If not, and they charge you after the 30 day trial, then I'm sticking with iCall!

This is great news but why did they allow this on the app store and not Google Voice??? So frustrating. They said GV was duplicating functionality already found on the iPhone and this outright copies the same iPhone interface.

A web app version does not provide equivalent functionality to that of a native app such as background polling, notifications when you have a message or receiving an incoming call on your second GV line. Apple wants to dictate the terms of the relationship that you have with your phone and any third party provider (for its gain) by blocking useful apps even though you own the device. My philosophy, you own the phone... you should own the experience as well.

@job514 Sorry I have an android where apps can be used in peace... But yeah totally agree with you about apps but the web app is better than nothing. But then again you get an email when you get a new voicemail in google voice.

Great App and video for it. You said it is now applicable for the ITouch but how would it work with my ITouch because I didn't think they had microphones that record sound and therefore lacks the ability to talk into or a distinct speaker area to put my ear to while talking to someone. How would this work? Thanks
