Was listening listening to a gaming internet radio station at like 2 this morning and they were screwing around/ recording a podcast and were Skyping Chinese people that had bugged them before. Then they randomly Skyped the guy who created this. They had a pretty long chat, but unfortunately they didn't talk too much about the gameplay. The host just kept bugging him about getting it on the ipad XD. I really wish there was an actual demo I could play. :(

This appears to be one of the few games out there that manage to give the impression of being artsy without being gay. Most impressive. I wonder if Steenberg got Ian Dorsch to do the in-game music, too...

@Darthellawayc yeah, it looks great but i wont think this will beat wow.., i play wow, and i would love to try this game to, but im stuck in wow and love seams to fitt me since you can build whatever you want and cool enemys who build whole citys for you to raid.., but i dont think you can compare wow with love since its two different games, and they both dont even got the same point,

Nor should it aim to beat WoW. If Steenberg was building this game in an attempt to overthrow WoW, then he would have been making games for the wrong reason. When making a game, it's not simply about beating the competition. There IS competition that you have to match up to (well, not always in the Indie world), but games are a form of expression, and are a reflection of individuality and creativity. I think LOVE sums up the question of "why" a game should be made.

While waiting for Love GDC you could try Garry's Mod. It's not really the same, but in my opinion it can have the same concept.

The thing is that this is an MMO, not a cooperative adventure game. Even though it may have some elements that allow it to be played as an adventure game, it still involves many players that aren't going to want their world to reach a conclusion that will give them a point of no return, unless you would like to screw everyone over by reseting the server.

Isn't it funny that one man can come up with a more fundamental and inventive idea for a game than a team such as WoW's? His idea is to turn us away from our current trend of self-centered, reward-based video games, and into games that exist for what they were always meant for... having fun.

...and it's not being aimed toward any specific group of people, just those that care to think for themselves for a change in order to have enjoyment in games.
