Lovely job...the ending was perfect. I was only a little bothered by why she was sleeping with the lamp on (although I know it was probably left on for lighting purposes during filming). Keep going at it--there's so much potential in this short film. I can't wait to see your future work.

a little suggestion would be putting more emotion to the piece and making it shorter, also when a person is in a love lock, he/she would be more energetic and worry-some because of the sleeplessness, but here it looked like you're mourning for someone's death , plus it needs a lil camera work ;]

diggin' the atmosphere you've created, Jak. it's got a homely feel to it, somewhere between longing and hopefulness--i guess the low-light conditions work well with the mood you're trying to communicate. noise is visible, but its more of a complement than a deterrent at least i think. keep it up guys.
