Pittsburgh produces almost NO steel now. There is ONE mill left, the Edgar Thompson Works. And the EPA is doing its damnedest to shut that one down too.
pittsburg is clean these days, there is no industry left polluting the skies from what I saw. All the mills and jobs are gone and now the answer is for everyone to get a job in the same healthcare most of the country can't afford.
pittsburgh is very small and has even smaller suburbs with only 10,000 people in them at the most! cleveland ohio is the same size as pittsburgh and there suburbs are akron 200,000 and canton 100,000. also pittsbugh is one of the dirtiest citys in the us!
YAY!!! Go Pittsburgh!!! Well you gotta be good at something so why not pollution? I think it's funny that we're now the most livable city according to some awards that we've gotten...
WOOOOOOOOOW go pitt, none of u pricky outsiders can touch us. FOOTBALL, HOCKEY, HEALTHCARE, RAW MATERIALS, LUNG MUTATIONS, CHRISTINA AGUILERA. and no cunt from hollyweird is bad mouth it!!!!!
shitsburgh is not only the worst city when it comes to pollution but also when it comes to everything the people are dirty the night life sucks the city is smaller than one quarter of LA OR NYC OR PHI, it shoudl be called a town not a city, oh and the residents only flush their toilets once a week, lets see what else...everyone in the town of shitsburgh thinks they know everything and are quick to talk shit wen they r stupid fuckin hics that are also little bitches

laughing my ass off.. We are #1 though... I don't buy that shit maybe way back in the beging when Pittsburgh was growing.. Yeah then we were the worst city to live in cause of the pollution.... I love Pittsburgh what other city has a view like ours.
I don't know anything about Pittsburg, but people need to stop complaining and exagerrating the pollution in Los Angeles. Take "Yahoo!" for example. They recently had multiple articles on how Los Angeles was so badly polluted and uninhabitable, so much damn exaggeration. They even said that Angelinos very often have to stay indoors when it gets really bad. Let me tell you, from someone that LIVES there, pollution/smog is not NEARLY as bad as exaggerated in the article. We NEVER have to stay
indoors. The smog NEVER gets really bad, hell it's hardly even noticable anymore. The only time of the year where the smog gets even a little bad is during the summer, you even see hybrids and fuel-efficent cars more commonly here now. Yeah, maybe about 20-30 years ago smog was that bad as said in article, but my god. The sky is crystal clear blue all the time, you CAN take deep breaths without having to worry about your health, several organizations in Los
Angeles as well as the Regional Board of Air Quality has been stepping up for the past decade addressing and trying to solve the problem, which has been working greatly so far. Recent examinations show the the air quality in Los Angeles has improved greatly over the past decade. The problem we face now is the smog in the Inland Empire region. It is still very bad there, mostly coming from old steel mills and power plants. But it's nothing compared to places like Shanghai.
I live in Los Angeles (LaLa land). Over the past 10 years I travelled to Pittsburgh over 40 times and must say that the air in Pittsburgh is better than the air in LA!!! I expected the sooty city on my first trip and was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately unemployment is somewhat high due to a lack of jobs after the steel mills left, but even that is improving in the last decade.
Particle Pollution IS bad for the lungs, and I can say that as an asthmatic (who takes 15 medicines per day) with thousands of times of experience from breathing woodsmoke and coalsmoke in Cheyenne, WY. Now your video is funny however, and I agree that they must not have visited Pittsburgh in many many decades if they say that, unless barbecueing and lawnmowing are what they are talking about.
