Actually,in 1948 the Palestinians, who were the majority indigenous population were given 45% of the land. The jewish settlers, in the minority at the time, were given 55% land (and they weren't even happy about that). After that Israel began ethnically cleansing Palestinians and destroying their villages. Israeli's always switch the cause and effect of this conflict.
