Brother, can we please quit arguing! The Quran is not "spewing venom," it's just warning you of a day where there will be no escaping from Hell (Judgement Day.) The Quran is cursing only those who murder, sin, and in other words, strive to erase the word of God. One way someone can do so is by spreading, violence, and anger. Most of the Quranic verses were revealed to the prophet based on the events. Many of the "war verses" were revealed when he was forcefully driven out of Mecca.
In addition, when the Quran uses the word fight, the most used word in Arabic is Jahada or "Jihad" which means strive. We can strive in many ways...to earn good grades or abstain from sins. This type of jihad in Islam is called the "Major Jihad." The minor is when we go to war. The only time war is permitted in Islam is for the sake of self-defense. If someone pointed a gun at me, I would definitely try to protect myself somehow! The word "sword" is not even used once in the Quran!

Explaining marriage in Islam will take a few pages, but in short, there is a marriage contract (nikah) and a waleemah (a party which is highly recommended) and they people are married! But if you want to know more, let me know! I have taken a very good course on the concept of marriage in Islam!

the tatoos are henna, thats where they usually put henna at. they have a henna party b4 the wedding.and all the women get there henna done. and the groom give the bride jewelry b4 the wedding also.

Brother, can we please quit arguing! The Quran is not "spewing venom," it's just warning you of a day where there will be no escaping from Hell (Judgement Day.) The Quran is cursing only those who murder, sin, and in other words, strive to erase the word of God. One way someone can do so is by spreading, violence, and anger. Most of the Quranic verses were revealed to the prophet based on the events. Many of the "war verses" were revealed when he was forcefully driven out of Mecca.

In addition, when the Quran uses the word fight, the most used word in Arabic is Jahada or "Jihad" which means strive. We can strive in many ways...to earn good grades or abstain from sins. This type of jihad in Islam is called the "Major Jihad." The minor is when we go to war. The only time war is permitted in Islam is for the sake of self-defense. If someone pointed a gun at me, I would definitely try to protect myself somehow! The word "sword" is not even used once in the Quran!

Muslims here do not wear hijabs or cover their face. Depends on the culture you come from. My brother's friend is a Muslim and they do not wear any head or face covering unless praying.

Explaining marriage in Islam will take a few pages, but in short, there is a marriage contract (nikah) and a waleemah (a party which is highly recommended) and they people are married! But if you want to know more, let me know! I have taken a very good course on the concept of marriage in Islam!

Thanks to Allah. Bro you need more exposure to Islam and learn the Deen. Take your time,attend some classes or whatever you feel aquainted regards to knowing this Deen. Do not rush into decision yet on courtship or wedding stuff.
Once you coverted it will be much clear who you wants to marry. You are head over heal for this Muslim girl but take time to know her and formost take time to know Islam.
Courtship and wedding there is no better example from Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.

Some of these weddings in the video are not fit to be called Islamic wedding, bcos some of the brides does NOT hijab.

I think you can ask for advice from imam, I think it is ok just to have wedding ceremony for you and imam. As for the parents, it would be great if they also share your happiness with you, no need for them to be muslim to be present at your ceremony.I hope I was of little help.

Just talk to me softly and respective, i'm sure they should listen coz u have their blloods runnign through u, u should be able to get them to feel for u. hope this helped, peace

salam, congrats on converting mashallah!!, yes it is possible for you to go to the masjid(mosque) and let the sheik marry you if youd like, he will be a witness to the ceremony, and i know many converts that have held there weddings in mosques and invited there fellow muslims to come, that would be nice since you would have the whole muslim community there to celebrate your occasion. much luck to you and yours. As for your parents it must be hard, but dont let that take you away from Islam.

nope..dey both dnt agree with it...but its not a thing like dey going to abandon us dey just dnt want to go to a mosque or anything like that plus are parents live abroad. but my parents luv y girlfriend and viseversa..i dnt really care about that to be honest my main intention is to please allah and allah didnt mk it compulsory for parents to be der, but to get married he did so thats my only worry.

the tatoos are henna, thats where they usually put henna at. they have a henna party b4 the wedding.and all the women get there henna done. and the groom give the bride jewelry b4 the wedding also.
a shiek is the person who marrys them to each other, a women can only have 1 husband.
and they say mashalah when they like something. it means by the will of god

Unfortunetly every country does it differently so, for a more correct information i would advise for you to visit an elder muslim or an Imam.
