It would only take about 5 minutes of class time to do intelligent design, just do it on the last day of the year and you dont have to worry about it during the actual teaching of things. You would have to also teach the theory of religion, its origins, myths and ramblings. My problem with the anti-evolution movement is that it seems they somehow discount God's power. Why couldn't there be a God that said" I'm gonna lay the groundwork and then see what happens"? Evolution should be taught in schools. It is as scientific as any other science-based theory. It is the most logical explanation of why there were really simple organisms a long time ago and really complex organisms today.

I don't feel like getting into a long drawn out debate about it. it's something everyone has to decide for themselves. whether they believe this idea or that one. i personally think it's way more likely that the movie the matrix nailed the reality of our existence than the big bang theory. there are way too many things that would have to happen perfectly for that idea to land us in the place we are not to mention the balancing act that is happening on so many levels

i love rollins and i usually agree with most if his rants and theories but this one really is pretty disappointing... his logic falls short imho... the mathematical odds of evolution alone require faith so much greater than any theory out there it's pretty ridiculous... the overwhelming evidence of planck level intelligence and inexplicable dna coding between amino acids and proteins... the list goes on... there is imho a supreme intelligence that is involved in our existence.

My problem with the anti-evolution movement is that it seems they somehow discount God's power. Why couldn't there be a God that said" I'm gonna lay the groundwork and then see what happens"? Why couldn't there be a God that's trying to figure out where itself came from? Evolution doe NOT need to preclude God and if the zealots would realize that without creating counter-theories, we'd all have a better time.

I know that's real, but I wasn't there. If you were, you still wouldn't know anything we don't know today. Evolution is very real, but who's to say a divine being doesn't exist? If the religious-nuts could accept evolution, but retain their FAITH, and those who believe religion is close-minded stupidity could realize it's just as close minded to wave off the idea of a higher power, then maybe we could have a better world.

@BucksStudent If the Church had let in that small bit of light in their dark scriptures, they had to keep letting it in. And after 5 years, the whole original would have made no sense if science was introduced. So they had to keep their bullshit pure.
Also, according to religious nuts, god will always be above science/knowledge. So they wont mix (like water and oil, which according to science, is because oil is lighter then water and some details I can't type in English)
