i use wen original shampoo.. on my hair and my daughters hair. we went without it for a few weeks and my hair was horrible without it. its expensive but since we have curly ahir we only use it 2-3 times a week, so it lasts me for a few months

Keep in mind that the aluminum free products are deodorants and will not prevent you from sweating. They only kill the bacteria that makes your sweat stink. I make mine from coconut oil, baking soda and corn starch. And my husband uses a spray mix of alcohol and tea tree. They have worked great this summer.

I love Organix shampoo and conditioners. They smell so good and leave your hair so soft. The coconut, vanilla and tea tree are my favorite. I use Certain dri antipersperant that rates low in the ewg. but it does have aluminum chloride. I am a heavy sweater so I have to use something with aluminum.

the heavy meatls do collect in your system particularly in your brain causing higher risk of alzheimers and anurisims I believe and other brain issues like short term to long term memory loss obviously it starts with short term and the longer you use the product and more that builds up the more memory is affected!!!

I was going to switch to an all natural deodorant anyway, but the whole thing about parabens is interesting. With my last two pregnancies every smell made me sick. So I didn't wear deodorant a lot. I guess it was my bodies natural way of protecting my baby!!!

I found Garnier Fructis Pure Clean shampoo and conditioner. Easy to find at the drugstore and cheap!! I used to get a really expensive one (Kevin Murphy) when I was working - and it's honestly... AMAZING. I miss it so much. We use Tom's of Maine too!

Hey Jen! I commented to you before about the 'Jordan Essential' products and how they are AWESOME!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE their shampoo and makeup, deoderant, and they have TONS of many more products! My family of 10 uses their shower gel in the soap saver (for hands, body, etc) I bought 2 in 2 different scents and they lasted our family for almost a year!! The baby products are also awesome!! I could go on and on!! They have a list of the ingredients they use as well!!

Have you tried washing your hair with baking soda dissolved in water and rinsing with diluted apple cider vinegar? Sounds nuts, but it makes your hair so soft and shiny, It's cheap and natural too. I was skeptical but tried it and it works awesome and I have LONG hair. Also you can go 2 days between washes without your hair getting greasy.

i have tried it and toms of maine just doesnt cut it for me at all :( if you get any other recs please let us know. also i have tried making my own deodorants and i am just too heavy of a sweater and theres nothing i hate more than anything in the world is sweaty wet clothes on my skin. for shampoo I tried the no-poo method for a long time and i still feel like my scalp hasnt recovered from that mistake but i have heard others having great luck with it.

Crystal Body Deodorant Stick works good as well. Also Kiss My Face also excellent :-) Nature's Baby Organics Shampoo & Body Wash may also be good for Porter, scented, but all natural scents. Hope not babbling too much sorry! Hope they help you :-)

I like Rusk Sensories Wellness Shampoo and Conditioner. It smells like grapefruit to me. It is Paraben Free, Sulfate Free, Petrochemical Free, Gluten Free, and Phthalate Free. My hair dresser actually sells it, but I am sure you can find it online or even Target. It is a little more then I like to spend $15 a bottle, but a little goes a really long way! My hair is about your length and a bottle lasts a few months.

I am very picky with my shampoos since I have some kind of sensitivity to most shampoos. In my quest to find a shampoo that would not cause my scalp to itch like crazy or make the back of my neck break out un hives I found a company at Akins called Mill Creek botanicals. They are all natural, parabin free and cruelty free. I use the jojoba oil formula.

there is a shampoo i love to death that has all natural ingredients made from the ocean even written on the bottle it has regular names not ajcblsbdjsbdkjbdkjb on the back of the bottle lol . i dont remember the name of it . I baught it and found it only at sallys beauty  its in a blue bottle its fairly inexpensive. it made my hair feel wonderful and i have thick course hair. it smells wonderful too

I know pureology and Abba are both 100% vegan and they use a lot of natural substances.. but I don't know if they are Paraben Free. Pureology is extremely expensive (but worth it, since it is so concentrated, and Abba is on the cheaper side)

what a great choice :) I was taught about this by my big sister when i was a teenager. Therefore i am not buying any products with paraben in it. I did like you take birthcontrol, which also can cause cancer.So i don't take them either (havent dont so for almost 5 years)- THOUGH, it has not changed the fact that i can not get pregnant. I must admit my body and mental health has changed after not taking these pills(in a GOOD way) I hope younger girls are more aware of what they are intaking. :)
