I'm not sure where you're getting your information from but it's a generally well-known fact that the family was only completely fluent in English and Russian. Alexandra knew English and German but spoke English more as she was brought up by her English Governess by the name of Orchard and particularly after the death of her parents, she spent a lot of time with Queen Victoria who pitied her and her siblings.
You can't simply state, "she was raised in Germany, so she spoke German". That kind of logic isn't a truth. She traveled quite often and spent time in other countries, as all royals did. Might be interesting to see a movie depicting the real "Anna Anderson" and her actual background. As we now know, she was not Anastasia....but a compelling story, nonetheless.
the titles are said wrong here when the tsar and tsarina walk into the hall...they weren't styled His/Her Imperial Highness...those titles were for the grand dukes/duchesses...the tsar and tsarina were styled His/Her Imperial Majesty
yes she was, but this movie was made before they knew where her body was and this lady told stories about Anastasia so well they believed she told the truth about being her, until she died and they found her DNA didn't match the rest of the family.
Anastasia was killed in the cellar of the Ipatiev house, with her sisters, brother, and parents, as well as some of their servants. The Ipatiev House was where they were being held captive after her father was no longer Tsar. They did not die anywhere near the palace. Ipatiev house is in Yekaterinburg. Hope that helps. :)
They do that when the characters speak a different language, they make them speak with british accents or have british actors.. it's just cheaper then putting subtitles in the movie, some people are not able to keep up with subtitles; be it Dyslexia or just a hard time reading..

they found all the bodies, as well as the ones of the two missing romanov children in 2003. in fact, the remains were actually identified as alexei and maria's, not anastasia's. but this film was made ages ago.

Actually, she was found, just a few months ago, to be precise. They don't know which one body she is, but they have found the remains of all five children. This past year they found the body of one of the sisters and the brother, so all children are accounted for.

They do that when the characters speak a different language, they make them speak with british accents or have british actors.. it's just cheaper then putting subtitles in the movie, some people are not able to keep up with subtitles; be it Dyslexia or just a hard time reading..

I really wish they'd make another Romanov movie. One that is more historically accurate, and one where the actors hold at least some minor resemblance to the actual Romanovs. Though Christian Bale is a pretty cute Alexei...<3

Rasputin was killed off by members of the royal family who felt threatened by him.
However he had written a letter to the tsar nicholaus long before hand.. It was delivered after he was killed and it said that if He had died by civilian hands the throne would last for a glorious stand. However, If it was by royal blood that killed him the throne would fall within a small time span...
and it did... the whole story is still abit mysticized... but its a great story nonetheless..

scientists have proven that this girl is not really anastasia. after she had died, they had performed a DNA test between this aristocrat, a distant cousin to the Romanav(i think he's some kind of prince but i'm sure he's an aristocrat) and anna and they found that her blood belongs to peasants not that one of the Romanovs.

they found all the bodies, as well as the ones of the two missing romanov children in 2003. in fact, the remains were actually identified as alexei and maria's, not anastasia's. but this film was made ages ago.

im actually really sad that Anastasias body was found because i would like to believe that at least one Romanov survived. i mean, i wish they all lived through tht night, but i would love for at least one 2 have lived.... but on the the other hand, the mystery is kind of over.

It made no sense all the years that people suspected that she was spared. A female was no threat as she could not rule.Only male heirs could.The other poster is incorrect.The bodies found in 2008 were id'd as those of Grand Duke Tsarevich Alexei and Grand Duchess Maria. Anatasia was in the original group of bodies found back in 1991.

Actually, she was found, just a few months ago, to be precise. They don't know which one body she is, but they have found the remains of all five children. This past year they found the body of one of the sisters and the brother, so all children are accounted for.

Yes but Anna Anderson started to claim being Anastasia ages before the bodies were found , so it isn't for this that the claimed one was Anastasia...I read somewhere the Anna Anderson was looking a lot like her and this was why...Moreover,after decades,as Anastasia was younger , it was more likely for her to live over time...You wouldn't believe someone who would pretend to be Alexandra showing up and dying in 1984...that would mean she would have lived for 100 years or so.

I don't care if you think Anastasia is dead or alive.
Or you are Anastasia or if she lives next door to you, or is reincarnated as your pet cat!
No one knows the truth even if you do say bodies have been found, if you check those bodies where in relation to the romanovs but are believed not to be Anastasia!
And even if it was it can still not be certain how she died.
She may not of died the same night as her family
So really it's not case closed.
