im a beginner and trying to learn this song. why are you playing the C 3 frets above the capo?

@Narutard1213 It looks like a C chord shape, but I have my thumb down on the 3rd fret relative to the capo. The chord isn't a C with a capo on the 2nd fret, it's an A major
