The Lion King is based on Shakespeare's Hamlet, and The Lion King 2 is based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Don't believe me? Look it up and you'll be surprised.

You know what's really sad? I was IN LOVE with The Lion King (and Simba;] ) But I had no idea that there was a second movie and I still haven't seen it!!! Sympathize.

@pheobemoose24 if it helps, the first one was soooo much better! like, no comparison. and while the soundtrack is amazing, the plot isn't as good as the first one
