yea his style has changed a bit he doesnt flop as much as he use to....his style does i would say look more similar to fleury's style.....love ozzie though man awesome goalie very under rated glad his back with detroit....GO WINGS!!!!!
Amen. Ozzie will be ready for the postseason...I love that about Chris, even when he has a bad stretch he comes back better than ever. Fuck the critics Ozzie is a good goaltender and I have faith he'll do it again for us this year.
worst starting goalie? Dude his stats aren't terrible whatsoever...a goalie's SV% has nothing to do with his defense and Ozzy's SV% has been pretty consistent, even when he played for St.Louis and NYI...and those stats were better than some of the Red Wing's seasons...so NO, it's not just due to the great defense of Detroit, Ozzy is pretty good himself...no superstar goalie, but he's definitely good.
Save percentage has nothing to do with defense? Are you kidding me? Have you ever played the position? It's a lot easier to stop 20 shots from the point with virtually no traffic than it is when half of those shots are legitimate scoring chances. Besides, Osnogood's save percentage, which you seem to think is solid is currently sitting at 88.2% which, for a supposed NHL #1 caliber goalie, is piss poor. Yet where do the Redwings stand? In first place yet again.
Thank you though for giving me such a great chance to further my original point. If the Wings had even an average starting goalie... some one on Rick Dipietro's level perhaps, they'd be a lock to repeat this year.
@bongwater1988 well i know you've posted this a year ago, but osgood's save % was only under .900 this year and last year, and besides you saw him in the playoffs in '09, he was as good as '08
