  • i have the shugen card at home :)

  • What about the legendary six samurai???

  • @ledaandrada

Deck was posted almost 5 months prior to the release of the Legendary Six Samurai.

  • @trivium666fan Oh, ok, Thanks.

  • @ledaandrada

    Welcome

  • HOW THE FUCK DID U GET 2 DUALITIES?!

    But great deck man.

  • @MotherwellFan98

The day Duelist Revolution came out, I went and bought a box from a trader's market called Frank And Sons. I pulled a Pot of Duality and the owner was like, "I really need that Duality because I sell cards online. I'll give you 2 more boxes if you give me the Duality." So I traded the Duality for 2 boxes and I pulled a Pot of Duality in each of the boxes.

    lol

  • you should definitely get some Kageki's they are really good and Kagemusha you can get sync all over the place

  • @gamer961000

you should definitely check out the date this video was posted. lol

February 2011 was when the new Samurai were released. This was posted in October of 2010. It was quite literally impossible to be running English versions of Kageki and Kagemusha when I posted this video.

  • add more six samurais to the deck (exe. 1 yaichi, 1or2 kamons,...)add 1 or 2 more reinforcement of the army

  • @ZajebavTVStudio

-.- More Six Sams were unnecessary at the time that this deck was built. Reinforcement of the Army is only allowed at 1.

  • @FireOnRampage

    Before Gateway, yes. After, no.

  • u don't need my body as a shield anymore because the sams have a destruction jammer called magnatama no musakani

  • @CaptainChaser

I know. But Dark Bribe/Trap Stun/Royal Decree is better because of D. Prison and Book of Moon.

  • make a spellcaster deck

  • @740871

You know, I've been thinking of building a SAM deck.

  • I'm not sure what you would take out of the deck, but have you considered using Double Summon? that could lead to some really interesting things. Normal summon a samurai, double summon another, abuse their effects when possible and possibly spec sumon shogun. Idk if it would mess up what you have going or not, but I really think double summon is great.

  • @Nightshine0

I've thought about it, but I'm not so sure if it will fit, or if it would help. I can imagine the situation where I draw 2 Samurai plus Double Summon, but I could also imagine the situation where I draw 1 Samurai, double summon, and would've preferred another samurai over that summon.

  • @trivium666fan Yeah I know what you mean, my friend recently got into yugioh and he's workin on a six samurai deck. Anyway just a suggestion, its your deck and its well made, I don't want to suggest anything that could harm the way it works. Great deck man

  • @Nightshine0

Thanks for the suggestion, though (=

  • forgive me for being dumb but what dose OTK mean?

  • @decoydragon11

    OTK = One Turn Kill

    FTK = First Turn Kill

    etc etc etc

  • What do you have for your sides? Cause if you have any Kamon in there, that would be great cause, since its great against Oppression, and those other bad continuous cards.

  • @MenInNiceSUITS

Very few continuous cards have become annoying recently, other than Solidarity. Oppression doesn't really stop this deck, though. Because Grandmaster's effect of recycling kicks in. And if they stop Shien, well, that's fine. They lose 800 LP for it and I can still summon Grandmaster.

  • @trivium666fan Wait. I thought oppression stops Grandmaster from special summoning? (btw I also run SS.)

  • @MenInNiceSUITS

He does, but that doesn't matter. As long as Grandmaster is destroyed, regardless of where he is, his effect goes off.

  • ivee been having some trouble with my samurai deck

  • @TeamShenron

    What's the problem?

  • @trivium666fan ill either get explosive hands were i automatcally win which is like 40% of the time while the other 60% is me drawing into stuff like 2 grandmasters a shogun, enishi and united. also inconsistant draws

  • @TeamShenron

The most I can say is shuffel as well as you can and hope to get a good hand. haha Shogun is a horrible dead draw at the beginning of the game, and so is Enishi. I would recommend removing him from the deck. Also, how many monsters do you run?

  • @trivium666fan i run 18 monsters, what do you suggest i add for enishi

  • @TeamShenron

18 Sounds good. Maybe it's your spell-line-up that becomes unusable? I was thinking of dropping shien down to 1 anyways, it might be better to have another six sam over a shien, which makes it a better top deck.

  • @trivium666fan ill consider playing 1 shien, but im not going to use this deck as my main deck until the legendary stuff comes out

  • @TeamShenron

Yeah. I've always run these as my main and done fairly well. But when the legendary come out, I wouldn't run shien at all.

  • @trivium666fan i might still play 1, but i have A LOT more testing with the new stuff, before i make my final decision on what my deck will be for the new stuff

  • @TeamShenron

I've been playing proxied decks for the past month or so. Shien is horrible.

  • @trivium666fan ill keep that in mind when building a couple builds before testing them, i still have a few more proxies to make before testing decks out still

  • @TeamShenron

Yes, the problem with shien is that he doesn't help bring out the other sams. the other sams OTK really quick.

  • @trivium666fan exactly THANK YOU Shien in THIS format mye be the power but in the Febuart format hes going too slow the deck down and stop swarming abilities

  • @Teamspeedshock

Yeah. That's all he does. He's really slow and not worth it.

  • I'd say -1 Shogun, +1 Enishi. Enishi is a better topdeck mid to late game, and can help to regenerate advantage on the board. -1 D. Prison, +1 MST, and try to fit in 2 Solemn Warnings and 2 Compulsory Evacuation Device. My trap lineup is 1 Solemn Judgment, 1 Dark Bribe, 2 Solemn Warnings, 2 Bottomless Trap Hole, 2 Compulsory Evacuation Device, 1 Mirror Force. And you need secret 1st ed Grandmasters ;)

  • @KiddReige

    Problem: I don't has 2 Warnings D=

But I switched D. Prison out for Solemn Judgment. I've always been iffy about Cumplus, though.

I sold my secret grandmasters when they weren't really worth much and got the golds instead, cuz they were cheaper. Now I regret it. But meh. lol

  • why no solidarity?

  • Yoo, I'm really thinking about running Six Sams and your deck seems like a good one to model from but I just got one question? DO you have any Grandmasters for trade? Like 3x? But deck looks good. Hey you should post some duels of it to show people how good it is.

  • ok i have no idea on how to run 6sams and i need a better deck besides heralds. what is the main purpose of the deck and the combinations of the main cards. what do you do in response to things like dark hole and giant trunade and other stuff in general . pleaase in advance

    icup

  • @icup728

I have a combo video for Six Samurai. Also, they are based around swarming the field. The new cards will not only swarm the field, but are focused around heavy OTK's.

  • @trivium666fan 2 shogun is bad 2 spirit is bad 1 of tteris beeach is better 3 yaichi lol 3 potd is better dark bribe is bad seven tools is better fix

  • @MrGladBEASTftw

2 Shogun/Spirit are bad? You've never OTK'd with this deck, then. What's tteris? And 3 Yaichi? LOL Because you don't realize that 90% of what is being played out there is chainable? And Dark Bribe is much better than 7tools. Let me guess, you want to give up stopping almost anything for just stopping traps? As if Monster Reborn and Dark Hole and Smashing Ground and Warrior Elimination, etc, aren't in the game?

  • @trivium666fan *those n no 1 spirit is better 1 shogun is better shogun just makes bad draw bribe they justdraw veiler or the out they need tools is better if bribe was better people would play it

  • @MrGladBEASTftw

I have no idea what you're trying to say. Use some form of grammar so I don't have to decipher it, please.

  • @trivium666fan then learn how 2 read

  • @MrGladBEASTftw

I know how to read. But when someone is using things like "n" as a word, well that's more of THEIR problem, not mine.

  • I have a few question to ask if you don't mind ? one is what is your thought's on running " Swiftstrike Armor " ? and the other trap support cards.

  • @LWZero1187

Most of the Six Samurai trap-support isn't good. Unfortunately, Swiftstrike is only decent if you run a majority-monster deck, but with the amount of spell-support this deck has, that'd be impossible. And apart from that, it doesn't let you continue to draw, so, you essentially don't draw, or it sits out there and does nothing. And since their trap support just floods the field, it's excessive. They have no problem doing that and don't need it.

  • @BlackWingStrike

    Gold Sarcophagus.

  • great job.

  • @TeamInfernity96

    Thanks

  • yo man i like the deck. i came i first at my locals yesterday. i run two shoguns but i also run three reckless because of shogun, and how i have to keep my hand full. it worked out for the best tho. i might post it on the tube sooner or later. i dont run pot or warning. i dont even side deck, unless i have to. played against one of the best players in dallas, beat him twice. but yeah man (long comment)

  • @TheDarienB

That's cool. I don't like Reckless in this deck, but I do love Pot of Duality. How'd you do against Machinas and Blackwings? They don't really rely on spell support, so shien can't do much.

  • @trivium666fan i do quite well against blackwings, and that was last format. since heavy is gone, i dont have to worry about my gateways getting killed. machinas gets no play at my locals, and i beat one of the best guys in my city(dallas) twice. he was running a removal style deck. pot and warning are good, but in samurais, i dont have to rely on them, the monsters do the removal, i just let my back rows protect and fill my hand up for game. and it works.

  • @TheDarienB

I take it you wouldn't really stop OTK decks, then? I run into a lot of Cold Wave and Giant Trunade's and double MST's and the like. And Rock Stuns carry all that spell/trap negation. The reason I like cards like Warning and such though is because they won't let Gorz or BattleFader end the battle phase. Not to mention that it stops DAD, JD, and other mass-destruction monsters. What do you run to stop monster effects?

  • @trivium666fan i usually kill my opponent before they can get it out. i have solemn and bottemless. but i also side deck cards like fissure and smashing. still ive been running this deck for a very long time. and i never have problems with BWs or DaD or JD. when they come out, either they will kill me, or i will get them off the field next turn. i never had to change my deck because i fear boss monsters. and ive always came in top 4 at locals, or top 8. got first this past weekend.

  • @TheDarienB

See, the issue I'm seeing is that I top quite a bit, as well. But I actually have cards that stop my opponent from being able to do anything. Cards like Threatening Roar and the like just stall out. And if a player doesn't over-extend themselves, they would be able to respond. Gorz would stop you from OTK'ing. Battlefader would, too. Effect Vieler would null Hand. I've run into quite a few great side-deckers. Proplayers like Adam Corn play in this area at the same places I do.

  • @trivium666fan thats good, but when i come across gorz or battle fader, i get rid of the problem then. jason haloway, chris bowling, and fili luna plays at my locals. i use to run roar, but i took it out for reckless so my deck could run faster. reckless comboed with united is beast. like i said, ive ran samurais for over two years, so i know what makes the deck good, what makes it bad. people say 1 shogun, i know to keep my hand full if i have him a two. just gotta know what your doing

  • @TheDarienB

Oh, I understand. I've been running them since 2007 when they were introduced in Strike of Neos. And I've tried those Reckless builds, but they don't seem to stand up to OTK decks. at least from the video I was able to see on your page, you don't have control of your opponent. I agree that Shogun is great to end a game. But nowadays, a lot of decks don't revolve around Spell/Trap support, or at least they can get over Shogun easily (dark hole, smashing, book of moon, etc).

  • @trivium666fan yea i hear ya. thats an old version of my deck. i gotta post the one i won tourny with. blackwings never really gave me probs. light sworn either. but like i said, i usually kill my opponent before they can do much

  • @TheDarienB

Lightsworns never gave me a problem either. Blackwings did, though, this past tournament. And so did Gravekeepers, because of Royal Tribute. With that card, they're going to be winning a lot more, and they'll stop Six Sams easily.

  • I have run six sams for a while now and i only run one shogun. you do not need more then 1 it is the biggest POS dead draw. Why do you not run solemn warnings or judgments. They are so good vs every meta deck, and now with debris so popular u need to be able to stop it because bottemless will not work.

  • @undesiretorch

I understand the single Shogun, and I've considered it, too. But he's a good beatstick, and pot of duality has made him that much more playable.

I only have a single Warning, and I can't risk losing the LP when my monsters aren't significantly strong. And I actually have, since this video was made, traded Prison for Judgment. Plus, my side-deck is for specific decks.

  • do you side deck a third hand now that you dont main deck 3?

  • @TeamShenron

No. This new format has created a situation where most of my opponents have other cards I should side-deck against (like System Down for Machinas). I dropped down to 2 Hands because my deck no longer focuses on that specific combo. With the release of Pot of Duality and the banning of Heavy Storm, I've seen my play-style focus on getting Yaichi out more often. And since I'm not big on Hand anymore, I don't need 3, because I won't need to compensate if 1 gets Bottomless'd.

  • awesome six sam deck but i think running another great shogun shien in there would top it off

  • @xXrazerblade2681Xx

Thanks. The problem with 3 Shien's, though, is that he's a horrible dead draw.

  • Are you willing to sell

  • @metahjoey

lol Nah, man, sorry. You're not the first to make an offer, and I always say no. Sorry, again.

  • check out my TEAMCAH corbin six sam deck! you might like it!!!!

  • @TeamCAH

Id like to see how the deck runs once you make the edits you said you would once you get the rest of the cards needed. (=

  • dont you want Solemn Judgement and Ultimate offering?

  • @thienfoil

I sometimes switch between Judgment and D. Prison. It goes back and forth, but I tend to stick to D. Prison more.

But Ultimate Offering is bad. Why should I run it? I've got enough continuous cards already.

  • Comment removed

  • bro it looks like you have 16 spells and 6 traps...>.>

  • @PhanCast

First of all, why is that?

Secondly, what's the problem with having that ratio?

And, lastly, what ratio would you suggest?

  • @trivium666fan

i really dont know why....where are the botthomless?

and why do you only play 6 traps?....is that enough defense?

  • @Enemydestroyer

Bottomless get's rid of most OTK's, like Judgment Dragon. It stops a lot of monsters that could over-power my Six Samurai.

And, I run Force, Torrential, Call, 2 Bottomless's, 2 Bribe's, and D. Prison. That's 8 traps. And with My Body and Spirit, that's plenty of defense.

  • @trivium666fan it didnt add up to 40 >.< ...

    but on another point

    solidarities?

  • @PhanCast

    I run 40 cards.

With Gateway in the deck, it's pointless to run Solidarity. What would you change for it?

  • @trivium666fan

yeah ..but when i counted your deck listen in the info it added up to 37..i was trying to point that out lol >.<

and i thought that since you only had 37 ......i thought you would want 3 solidarity for fun? so it can add up to 40?

  • @trivium666fan Yeahh but i counted your deck list. and it added up to 37.

that was what i was trying to tell you >.<

and for the solidarity's i thought it would be fun to add up to 40 since i thought you didnt have 40? o.o

  • @PhanCast

lol But it add's up to 40 in my side-bar lol idk, you might have missed something while counting.

  • @trivium666fan Okay...you changed it....and added some cards in...and it stilll does not add up to 40...count the cards 1 by 1....not the total....its 39..>.<

  • @PhanCast

39, I believe. But, what's the problem? Look at my video and just count the cards.

  • @Eincorporated

    Welcome

  • I will say it again, you are the six samurai master

  • @BBlueBlaze

    Haha thanks

  • @Eincorporated

    Sure thing.

  • Why did you take out 1 Hand?? Nice deck...

  • @tomgun86

The deck used to revolve around the Hand+Gateway+Grandmaster combo. So I ran 3. But now I focus a lot less on it and prefer to abuse Yaichi to spam his destruction effect, now that Heavy Storm is gone.

  • @trivium666fan

The effect of yaichi is not so good anymore as it was in the past. Because of the fact that the most traps/spells are chainable (yeah the most). So i think Yaichi is not so valuable, but i think 2 hands are quite enough....at least when the new support is coming out.

  • @tomgun86

The thing is, very few times do people need to activate those cards. For instance, if they only have 1 thing down, and I blow up Trap Stun, and I don't have cards on the field except for my face-up continuous spells, what does it matter? Or if they only have 1 card on the field, like MST or something, and I don't have anything for them to destroy? Yaichi also by-passes Starlight Road. Mirror Force, Dimensional Prison, and cards like that are also easy to get rid of. Even Bottomless.

  • @trivium666fan

Yeah right it depends on the situation and the opponents deck, but they can still prevent your OTk if they have waboku or stuff like this ans this exactly happend to me very often. But this is just my oppinion. Another thing is that i would rather side deck Nisashi instead of yariza, because he is a really good otk card, especially with cunning...5600 damage (more than grandmaster).

  • @tomgun86

I don't like Nisashi over-all. He's, at least in my opinion, not strong enough to get over anything. He's only really helpful when the field is clear. Again, that's my opinion. I have run into some OTK decks, but Spirit seems to stop them from clearing my field too quickly. Torrential, Bottomless, and Bribe also seem to do very well. Very few people expect Bribe, so I use Dark Bribe, and they are like, "Wait, what?" They get to draw, but their combo is blown to shit. lol

  • @trivium666fan

But his weackness is a advantage too, because he can not be bottomless haha ;)

  • @tomgun86

I know that. But I don't really like that, if he makes it to the field, he's not strong enough to take anything down. I used to run him when Gateway hadn't come out, because I would run Solidarity instead. But with Solidarity gone, I'd much rather top into Hand or Zanji to open up my opponent's field.

  • @trivium666fan

Of course he is too weak but the idea is to have him and lets say grandmaster and you attack with him just when the field is clear...you dont want to play him without a strong support on the field. He is just a finisher or something like that. But Yariza is a monster that survives at least one turn and that means just 1000 of damage. But this is a question of taste.

  • @tomgun86

I don't use Yariza, so I don't get why you keep bringing him up. But to have a card that's for finisher, at least to me, is so situational that it's bad to include it. I'd much rather have a card that's more adaptable to circumstance.

  • @trivium666fan

You have Yariza in your sidedeck and so i wondered why you havent nisashi instead of him, but your answer sounds very clear now :). I kept this thing up because this was the only thing in your deck that i couldnt understand. The rest of my deck is similar to mine deck. And i also do not understand because all the people run book and NOT cunning...cunning its so much better.

  • @tomgun86

OH! Yeah, that was my old Side-Deck. Yariza was part of an idea I had of running Level Limit Area B, and cards like that, to abuse Yariza, Yaichi, Kamon, Spirit, and Hand. But I threw that idea out after I took out Gold Sarc, because I can't just search for Level Limit or Gravity Bind now.

  • @trivium666fan

Okey, i thought that was your sidedeck for the new format. Keep going...

  • @trivium666fan

Sorry but i have a last thing that i can not really get and that is why the pot and shogun is a good combination...?? Maybe i am thinking wrong right now haha.

  • @tomgun86

I almost never use Pot and Shogun at the same time. The reality is that in this format, the Six Samurai only special summon Grandmaster and Shogun, and Pot of Duality only stops one turn that could easily be while I already have Grandmaster out there, or while I don't have Grandmaster or Shogun in my hand. If I have another Grandmaster in my hand, for instance, and one on the field, then I still can't Special that Grandmaster, so why not use Pot and see what else I can get?

  • @trivium666fan

Ok. Pot is very usuable especially to get gateway faster, but without pot sixs have still good drawpower! But its a really good card in any deck..

  • @tomgun86

Yup. Gold Sarc is also good if you don't have Pot.

  • i like it keep up the good work.

  • @TeamInfernity96

Thanks. I hate Infernities, though. Those OTK bastards. lol

  • here is a new build imo: -20- 3 grandmaster 2 zanji 2 yaichi 1 irou 2 true kageki 2 kagemusha 2 true kizan 1 true enishi 1 shiens youriko 2 great shogun shien 2 tkro -12- 1 shiens smoke signal 1 rota 1 twra 1 smashing 1 darkhole 1 monster reborn 3 gateway 1 mst 2 book of moon -10- 3 musakani no magatama 2 warning 1 trap stun 2 bottomless 1 mirror force 1 torrential
  • @drummerjmm

I couldn't agree less with that.

  • @trivium666fan ive been testing it and its phenomenal this far

  • @drummerjmm

Yeah, plenty of the builds might work. But I think there are so many better builds than what you're running. Not only do we have to wait to see how the next ban-list will look when that deck hits the TCG, but why would someone run Smashing with Zanji? Why wouldn't you run Hand? Why would anyone run Yoriko? And what's "TKRO"?

  • @trivium666fan im a gadget control player, i like my smashing. lol. and tkro is thunderking raioh. he doesnt stop my playing sams anymore than gadgets. youriko is another true shien sync option with any of your 4* sams.

  • @drummerjmm but with that said, ive already made a few changes as i've play tested today. -18- 3 grandmaster 2 zanji 2 yaichi 1 irou 2 true kageki 2 kagemusha 2 true kizan 1 true enishi 2 great shogun shien 1 polar star angel valkyrie -12- 3 shiens smoke signal 1 rota 1 twra 1 darkhole 1 monster reborn 3 gateway 2 book of moon -10- 3 musakani no magatama 2 warning 1 trap stun 2 bottomless 1 mirror force 1 torrential
  • @drummerjmm

First thing that comes to mind when I finish reading that is I'd take out The Warrior Returning Alive, 1 Solemn Warning, and 1 Musakani no Magatama for 3 Six Samurai United. Draw Power that your deck is missing.

  • @trivium666fan i can see twra and the 3rd magatama, but warning is staple. I like twra to recycle a shogun shien if need be, but it's not necessary. 3 gateway, 3 smoke, and rota is insane search power, which is almost better than draw power in most cases. What is your thought on the angel valkyrie? She is either any 6* syncro we may need, and also opens the opportunity for Odin

  • @drummerjmm

My problem with Valkyrie is that I like to keep decks pure. It's no real support for the deck. It's essentially just a normal monster in this deck. But I like BOTH search power and draw power. Keeping your deck thin as quickly as possible is something that makes things fantastic. I mean, when you need spell support, it's much better to have United than Rota.

  • @drummerjmm

Thunder King sucks for this deck, especially with the addition of Shien's Smoke Signal. If 3 ROTA's were allowed, I'd run 3.

I don't see the practical addition for Smashing. And Yoriko is pure crap. In my opinion, it does nothing.

  • will you be reducing your spell and traps for more true six samurais? or will you switch them out for one another? and if you do. who for? do you know if any more support cards will be coming in?

  • @botzkeint

I'm not entirely sure about all of it. I'm definitely taking a look at what I can do. I'm going to most definitely trade Pot of Duality for Kizan.

I've been working on theoretical build so far, and I know I want to add 3 Kizan's, 3 Kageki's, 1 Enishi(obviously I mean the True one), and 2 Kagemusha's. which is a total of 9 cards, which means I still have 7 more to work with after I switch out the 2 Pot's. I might drop Irou and Zanji down to 1, or maybe Side-deck Irou altogether.

  • wut happen to enishi? and didnt u say 3 hands was a good number? also shud i run 2 gold sarcs if i cant get pot of duality? or maybe a morphing jar?

  • @Inafune17

Enishi, unfortunately, I couldn't keep in this new format. He's great and all, but he slows down my deck in this format, so I switched him out for My Body As A Shield.

3 Hands were fan-fucking-tastic. But I don't revolve around that combo anymore. My latest combo has been a Yaichi-spam. With this new format, a lot of people set ALL their Spells/Traps because of Heavy being banned. But Yaichi spamming the hell out of everything helps me win duels now, more than Hand.

  • NO SOLEMN JUDGMENT!!!!!

  • @CloudianSheepCloud

My personal opinion on Solemn Judgment: Unless it's at 3, half my LP aren't worth negating 1 thing.

The reason, at least I believe, that Solemn was so great, was that, at 3, you could negate enough to completely stop your opponent in his/her tracks, so that them doing any damage becomes obsolete. So, then you retaliate and win. Now, you stop one thing, you just lost half of your lifepoints, and they can probably still do more.

  • Hey just a heads up that they revealed the new True Six Sams so go check em out whenever u get a chance if you haven't already. Later.

  • Already did.

  • run solem warning

  • @TeamEvOBurst

    3 in Side-deck.

  • Very nice I would love to see how you run this can you post a duel of yours sometime?

  • @mjnaruto19

I'll see when I can get a friend to help me out with that. I was planning on doing it once, but that plan went down the drain. haha We'll see what we can do, though.

  • Finally!! lol Way close to my build minus the Pot of Duality really. How's Spirit's been doing this format? With Trap Stun so common all of a sudden, people have been running 3 book of moons so that's backfired with Spirit with for me a few times. Any luck on your end?

  • @kaleo09

LOL Thanks, I know I took forever.

Rock Stun decks, which spam Book of Moon and such are really hitting me hard, But I tend to side-deck well against them. It has been pretty tough, though.

  • @trivium666fan Yeah a good side deck's i guess all you can do. But Six Sams should be able to outspeed most decks anyways n especially next format so shouldn't have too much worries then. Honestly my biggest prob is over extending with them.

  • @kaleo09 Definitely.

  • Hey bro i was wondering where i could get a cheap Dueling mat and some good cards cheap

  • @That1kidMaines

Usually flea markets. Online, the best site for cards that I've used is TCGPLAYER, or shuffleandcut. As for mats, I don't know.
