i got this on VHS when I bought the box set about 8 years ago (christ, where does time go). Now I can't watch it because I have no VCR to speak of. I thought it was funny how the stage was at knee level to the audience so when the pit got crazy, everyone chilling in the front were trying desperately to stand up.
yeah iv heard of bad brains but never realised they were black, they were one of those bands i just use to hear occasionally but never paid much attention i will check them out again
Well said, well said. I get so angry when I think of how Jerry talked down on Danzig like Danzig was just a vocalist.
For the love of GOD, he was the blood, the flesh, the bone AND spirit of The Misfits. When he left in 83', the band ceased to exist in my eyes. Graves? Bitch please, fuck that noise Graves ain't shit. Anything Danzig ever made and produced, is a fucking hit and like you said turned to Gold.
And you know what, he's shown more than enough to convince me, Danzig's the best
No kidding. Not only with Samhain or The Misfits, but with Danzig (band) as well. Especially "Soul on Fire." That was my theme song for a long long time.
yea why dont your ride danzigs pole harder dude. If I was still in highschool I would of agreed with you... but seriously danzig is a giant melodramatic pussy. Misfits with graves is different yea. but it aint that abd. They made some good tunes with him. Dig up Her Bones is a great song.
yea man i totally agree...in some way tho i really like graves misfits...its different..its like how sabbath with dio is heven and hell..but its the same lineup they just do different style songs...danzig misfits were darker and bluesy and graves misfits were more punkish...both incarnations are great in their own right tho.
Never really understood why people had something against Graves. Danzig and Graves were both great in their own different ways. Two completely different eras for the band.
I wouldn't have anything against The Misfits after Danzig if they weren't called The Misfits...I simply wouldn't listen to them. I don't like Graves' voice...And I don't like the music.
I think post-Danzig Misfits proves that Danzig was The Misfits, because it's so completely different without him...It doesn't have the same aggression and rawness, and it obviously doesn't have Danzig's distinct voice.
Graves' voice, to me, sounds like so many other vocalists...And I don't like mediocrity.
i agree with that completely....i can listen to walk among us and then famous monsters and not have a problem both of them ar completely different singers with different sounds but still contribute so well to the bands sound now jerry only ...he blows
It looks like the show from the boxset VHS, I know London was in the audience and pulled a face at the camera at that show, didn't know he filmed it..
Yep, this show does appear to be from the same VHS tape that was included in the box set.
I don't think London May actually filmed it himself, being that he's in plain sight in the audiance...but I do think it is his personal taped-recording because when he makes that funny face just before Glenn and company perform "Moribund", some girl who's filming the show says,
"Yes, London...I'm ruining your tape!!"
or words to that affect which would at least imply it was in fact HIS recorded video.
Glenn's best song? If anything, it was a good song by the Misfits, but by far not when compared to Samhain. Almost any song by Samhain is better than Die, Die.
danzig and graves both did great with the misfits...BUT graves shouldnt sing danzigs songs, its like satan going to church, its just not right
dont talk shit, its just my opinion

Samhain is the shit their songs are so mellow in some way. Kind of makes you wanna just sit back and relax when you listen to it. Danzig is GOD!

Why does the audience look like they're in slow-motion? Haha.

more punky???you mean more campy.....danzig's misfits where oldschool punk and hardcore punk
cosmokramer1982 2 years ago 2
Graves' Misfits were more punkish? More like more mainstream sounding.
I hate punk, anyway...The Misfits with Danzig is my favorite band, regardless.

I just noticed Eerie Von Detten's coat. He also wore this in his last days in Danzig.

man Samhain was pretty damn sick, like they are a crossbreed between misfits and Danzig. I loved it. I love everything Danzig produces.

If so, how were able to find this??
Awesome!!
