norrona used to be the danish red cross asylum center during 1992-94. i was there in 92-93.

@rivularia That is the former Norrøna, the Norrøna in this video is the new one from 2002 ca. (yes the company, Smyril Line, sold the old one and bought a new one and called it Norrøna again).

Did you like the old Norrøna? How was it staying on that ship for asylum?

@henninggninneh at that time the old norrona ship was docked at the islands brygge in kobenhavn. asylum seekers onboard were all from former yugoslavia. i was very young at that time and didn't pay attention on not-so-easy conditions. for us youngsters was important that we were in the center of copenhagen to hang around. sometimes serbs, croats and muslimg were fighting with each other. in general, i was having good time in norrona, made friends among the crew who were completely from faroe.
