The one thing that always bothered me with this episode is how Arnold is known as the kind-hearted boy, and how he sees people for their goodness, yet in his "dream" he sees helga as mean and lazy. I wish they continued this series so he could see that she just acts that way to mask how she really is, and how she feels about him.

@CPSean What do you mean? There still are cartoons that have proper vocabulary and a good plot and meaning in them, you're probably just thinking of the cartoons aimed towards late infants and toddlers - like the Teletubbies and all that.

Although I do think the animation in stuff these days is pretty shitty (though stuff back then compared to stuff in the 40-50s ain't shit), it's ultimately more or less the same. You're just feeling nostalgic and so you're biased against modern stuff.

Her parents bought her love because they were workaholics who didn't have enough time to spend with her. Angelica was a lonely girl desperate for the attention. That is why she turned out that way, Helga on the other hand is very neglected and emotionally abused.

It's not to say Helga's parents don't love her, I just think her parents aren't fit to be parents. I really think her parents are missing out a lot because they have a smart and talented daughter but they prefered Olga.
