Imma agree with moust of the visitors - in silver it was much better! My e32 is in Sterlingsilber-metallic now and the only colour I would agree it to be in - is Arctic WHITE! Had never seen too the better colour for 7-Series!

Silver is a much nicer color, really. The nicest E38 I have seen is in Arctic White....with chrome sport wheels (but NUKE that tan interior crap.......yech!)......on a sunny day!! OMGosh.......a guy will get more ass than a toilet seat!

3.5K euro is indeed a fair price for a color change. I had some "paint recovery" and not color change over the whole body done for 1K EUR, also looks quite nice, e38 750.

i didn't say 100 euro! hehehe. If you would see my car painted for 1000 euro, you would have tears in your eyes, because of the beautiness of my car ;) Don't be silly - how much do you want to pay when 1L of metallic paint costs between 40 and 120 euro in Poland, so even if you buy the expensive one for 120euro per 1L and you use 10L ( like for an armor ;) ) it all together gives about 1000 euro, so 2500 euros for painting job??? heh even the most experienced painters don't get 2500e

paint jobs like that can run over 3000 dollars..most of the money spent on prep time..and smoothing out the panels...job cannot be rushed either...number of coats/type of colour and clear coat..colour sanding between coats..and final buffing of clear coat..lots of work.. all details/price must be finalized with painter before work; starts so price depends on what you want to achive does any one else agree?

Mooi spuitwerk. Vraag me nu wel af, aangezien ze eerst de binnenzijde gespoten hebben, heb je dan nu geen zichtbare rand daar waar de deuren zich scheiden op de stijlen onderaan. Hier moet toch nevel ontstaan wanneer ze volle lagen aanbrengen.

Normaal gesproken heb je daar dan iets een nevelrandje ja, die is dan heel goed weg te poetsen. In het geval van de 7 zit op al die punten een rubberen strip dus zie je er sowieso niks van terug.

The paint itself is not difficult to buy in USA I think.

Buying an E38 in exactly this color will be very hard to find. The only E38 I know that is delivered in Alpina blue is an original Alpina B12, then it's not the same as mine because this paint is from the newest Alpina B7. (2007)

You don't have to change anything on the suspension for the wheels. The Alpina's come sometimes by on Ebay Germany.

The E38 is also available as Alpina, it's called B12.

Beautiful 740i, I recommend that you change those clear corner lenses back to the factory corner lenses, they would look much better, but other than that great job on the facelift and colour choice.

The engine is not modified, not yet...... how knows what brings the future. The money is all gone now.

Dat mag je, alleen het spuiten binnen en buiten en het strak maken heeft me ongeveer 4000 euro gekost.

De- en montage heb ik zelf gedaan samen met een kameraad.

En dan heb ik daar nog niet de onderdelen die ik vernieuwd heb bij opgeteld zoals de facelift en al het kleine materiaal zoals stootlijsten en dergelijke. Alles bij elkaar opgeteld, inclusief wielen poedercoaten en andere kleine dingen, heeft het me ongeveer 6500 euro gekost.
