Did you use Crystal Clear by Krylon or whatever it's named? I usually paint my dunnys and munnys with first coat of primer, a few layers of acrylic thinned out with water and then i finish it off with a clear coat.

He's using a Copic Marker.

I'm not positive about what paint he's using. It looks like it could just be acrylic with an extender or retarder.
