Cliff Burton played bass in Metallica 1982-1986. He died while metallica was touring. It was a buss-crash, hard to explain, i dont speak english... Okay and then we have Dave Mustaine who was kicked out of Metallica, beacause when he was drunk, he became aggressive and hit James, who is the singer/guitarpalyer. Mustaine played in metallica 1981-1983. Cliff Burton was replaced by Jason Newsted, who left the band in 2001. Mustaine was replaced

By Kirk Hammett, who left Exodus ( it's a band) to join Metallica. Oh yeah and that Jason newsted guy was replaced by Robert Trujilo. He joined the band in 2003.
