True. Great stuff on that album. A t first it disappointed me a little, but after I've listened to it for 5, 6 times I totally changed my opinion.

Valentine is one of the best songs on it, I think. sweetly melancholic. Reminded me of sandpapper kisses.

That's a good point. I think Martina is at her best when she brings out that hauntingly beautiful dimension of her voice. And, IMHO, it's best captured by songs like Razor Tongue and Valentine. Having listened to the album over 20 times, I do have to say that some of the songs feel rushed - like DangerMouse needed to get to his next production gig. If some of the songs were more fleshed out, Blue God would have been a 5 star classic.
