You realize of course that Barry didn't write this song. One of the Beach Boys, Bruce Johnston, did (and he's a Jesus freak that wrote the song about God). Bruce Johnston has been quoted, "I wrote it about 'where music comes from' (for me, music comes only from God)".

@NicholasPOGM Though it may be true that Satan sang to God before he fell into sin, this does not mean singing or music is unrighteous and/or bad. God still wants us to 'Make a joyful noise to the Lord,' (Psalm 100). This can be music and singing. No, this does not mean you are delighting the Devil, but you are delighting God when you do this.

@kevster2717 Not really. In the song, he says, "i am music" meaning this song is written from the perspective of music itself. He's saying what music itself would say if it could, not that he Barry Manilow is music. There's a difference.

You realize of course that Barry didn't write this song. One of the Beach Boys, Bruce Johnston, did (and he's a Jesus freak that wrote the song about God). Bruce Johnston has been quoted, "I wrote it about 'where music comes from' (for me, music comes only from God)".
Anyway, the whole idea that "Satan" exists is ridiculous. You might as well believe in the Easter Bunny and the tooth fairy while you're at it.

I was and am, a Barry Manilow fan. Used to go to see him at N E C Birmingham, when he still toured the uk. P. J. Proby, who unless you can remember the late 60,s you will not have heard of, also does this song justice, in his appearences on stage, right now. Two very good, comparable versions, of the song.

This song deserves to be recognized, no matter how old you are. Seriously. There's no shame in liking this kind of music. And if you're so strangely paranoid that you would call this the "work of the Devil", it's quite obvious you're rather excessively confused or desperate for attention.

As you listen to the lyrics, keep this in mind. Satan was the very first angel created. He was actually the one who sang unto God before he fell in sin. He was the angel of music. So, yes. He has been "alive forever." He did write "the very first song." And when he is "in your heart... he feels young again, even though he is very old." There are many statements in this song that are extremely evil to say the least. The ones I shared here are but a few. This is why music is so messed up today.

PLUS, Science has already proven the rock beat affects the heart in a bad way which in turn causes the brain to generate too many chemicals causing euphoria. Do you recall the "certain damsel" that was walking behind Paul? (Acts 16:16-) She was saying Paul preached truth. But he ended up casting a demon out of her. You cannot use Satan's tools to speak of God anymore than that damsel could.

@prophefixz Satan used to sing hymns and songs of worship before he fell. Those songs are still sung in churches. The songs Satan sings today are by no means church worthy.

Plus, most (trustworthy) doctors and 100% all natural doctors state alcohol poisons the body. Loud Music of any kind can cause a defence mechanism which increase adrenaline but if you want to say it's just in rock music be my guest. No prophecies are being fulfilled; if you knew anything about the scientific nature of the earth you would know earthquakes are natural and building on a flood plain isn't a smart idea.
