Я уже говорил вам - то что у вас бесплатное образование и медицина - это ОЧЕНЬ БОЛЬШАЯ НЕ РЕДКОСТЬ, ЭТО ЕСТЬ ПОЧТИ ВО ВСЕХ СТРАНАХ. Экономика это не "что бесплатно, а что не бесплатно". Я говорю о производительности труда и его распространении на мировом рынке - ни одна страна не восстановилась после распада СССР кроме России. А вот экономика СССР была на высшем уровне с 1950 по 80 и это невозможно отрицать. Все страны ОВД пользовались нашими (нашими - то есть СССР) товарами и никто не возражал.

As you know, Soviet Army was in Estonia in Juni, if I'm not mistaken, and after only month there were organized elektions to the Soviet Estonian goverment at which took part 84% of population and 92% of them voted for left wing Soviet government of Estonia. As you understand, nobody was deported yet. Just to compare, the 'free' election in Iraq started after YEAR of American occupation, the same about Afghanistan.

There is even proof, proof written. Now I can answer about that election. Estonian's communist group was pretty small. At start only 100 members. With occupation and Soviet Union number changed into few thousand, but still small. So, most of estonians probably didn't even vote. Only those thousands and few exceptions. That's all I know learned from my grandfather.

Я говорю о производительности труда и его распространении на мировом рынке - ни одна страна не восстановилась после распада СССР кроме России. Белоруссия не принимала участие но входила в территорию) бомбили ссср, считая что германия не нацисты, германия поможет. Oh, now I get it. :D. Didn't know your age. Well, I can't fight against someone who has more life experience. Anyway, it was a good argument. Nevermind what I last said. I take back the words. I shouldn't care about communists. They are past. I should focus on present. I forgot the fact that everything is needed. So, even though communism did some bad things, it teached some people lessons and some other things too. Don't get me wrong, but everything that exists is needed

@mRRandak You really want that? Just to begin with: the paid vacations for workers, paid maternity leave, I don't think your rulers dared to abolish that. Then there must be cut down but still existing health care and education. Don't tell me someone of yours had education before 1940. And so on.

@tagaphon We had education since 1630, when our university was built. Then Russia and Peter I conquered our country. Then we got free in 1918 and then attacked by communists. In 1939 Russia wanted permission to get bases to Baltic lands. We knew that, if we disagree, war will come against Soviet Union. We would have been destroyed, but would also left a mark in history. We could have been famous, but totally foolish. No wise man would want to be famous by killing their own people.

@mRRandak Who we? Are you German? Such as you were allowed in Riga only as servants. In 'your' university studied 0,0% of Estonians until may be 1920. Now tell me you had democracy before 1940. @tagaphon What the fuck are you talking about? What do you know about Estonia? And why do you think I'm a nazi. Just because I hate communists? Most of the world hates communists you know. In estonia, we never had a dictator. We got university in 1630, in 1700 or so, it was closed for some time, since we had some problem with russians. We had a president. President Konstantin Päts since 1920 or so was president until Soviet Union toke our land and sent Päts to Siberia.

Whole world thinks negative about communists. Your (teachers, not all, but some and parents) give you brainwash all the time. They tell you: Stalin was a hero! Capitalists are always evil. Every1 opposing us is either capitalists or nazis. I don't care hell of capitalists.

@mRRandak Are you smart enought to translate the word "Soviet" from Russian? If not, plz, "Counsil". Soviet power means you Estonians made your Estonian Councils, consisting from Estonians, who decided not to return property to capitalist owners, mostly Germans and Estonian traitors. As far I know neither you nor your parents had no property lost. By the way, don't tell me about vanished German Ostsee dukes. I heard they mentioned from many sources until 1944.

@tagaphon Where do you live? Seriously, how do you know about my parents? What are you, a spy? I don't know about capitalists in Estonia, but dukes lost their manors since the freedom of Estonia in 1918. Manors were given to freedom fighters who fought for the freedom of Estonia. And why you think that there are nazis in Estonia? Estonian traitors? Well, all traitors of estonians I know, were in U.S.S.R side. Seriously, Estonia didn't have as much things to do with nazis than German.

@mRRandak You kids are all alike. All pre-war Estonia was flourishing rich country with good education. Only your grandparents had bad luck and no education. After war Stalin begun to shoot Estonians to the left and to the right and to send them to Gulag. This time your parents were lucky. They were so sly, so clever, that they escaped. In Soviet time all Estonians were very poor and had bad life. Only your parents got education and lived very good, inspite of Communists.

Okay, I'll agree that communism had good positive sides too, if you agree that it had bad negative sides too. If not, then we are back in start. By the way, just because some estonians were against their own land, doesn't mean that we all are. People are different. In every country, there are different people.

@mRRandak Means that that you are neither Estonian, nor a younster?Communism as a dream society has no disadvantages for honest people. If you mean real SOCIALISM, it had disadvantages, which are much smaller than positive things. We went 1991 not to the happiness, but to the opposite direction, so we have to return back, surely not the same way, but back to socialism, which I admit should be different for every country.

Well, but Soviet Union still toke Estonia's freedom in 1939. And don't argue back. Your not estonian. You don't have to think that we got enslaved, but we still lost our freedom. You got our land, we didn't like it, so it is a freedomloss to us. I'm not talking for all estonians though. Just for most. The most is the one that wants to be free. You can say that Stalin is great and all that...

@mRRandak Look here, just now you are insulting your father, your grandfathers and grand-grandfathers. Why do you think they loved freedom some less than you? Why they didn't fight? Can you look in the eyes of your grandfather and claim him slave? May be they knew something you don't know now? I really don't care whether Estonia will belong to Russia or not. I was 33 when you parted and never wanted to visit it, inspite I visited many parts of Soviet Union.

@tagaphon I don't think that they loved freedom less than me. I think they loved freedom even more than me. Why didn't they fight? It would have been suicide. If we are here talking about 1939, then all Estonia was ready to fight, but government let Russia get there bases and all that. If they would have fought, Estonia would have lost most of it's people. Soviet Union had a huge number of soldiers for the start of World War II. I don't know why we didn't fight actually. I wasn't there

@tagaphon He was a good freedom fighter too, but I don't know why he didn't fight. I wish that general Laidoner would have obliged him to fight. Then there would have been war. But if there would have been war, maybe my grandma would have died and I wouldn't exist. So, safety of Estonia is more important than loss of freedom. Even though it wasn't as big loss as I thought at first place.

@mRRandak If we would have been literally enslaved, then yes, rather die than be a slave. Even though lots of estonians still didn't like it. For example: Forestbrothers (metsavennad for us) fought against Soviet Union for 20 years after occupation. Last of their leaders fell in 1970. They lived in forest and knew how to hide very well.
So, there may be many causes. Maybe it would be better if we would have fought. For freedom, for reputation and all. Maybe it isn't that good, loss of people...

@mRRandak You have all time to solve this problem. Now you have another one. As you know, Soviet Army was in Estonia in Juni, if I'm not mistaken, and after only month there were organized elektions to the Soviet Estonian goverment at which took part 84% of population and 92% of them voted for left wing Soviet government of Estonia. As you understand, nobody was deported yet. Just to compare, the 'free' election in Iraq started after YEAR of American occupation, the same about Afghanistan.

@tagaphon Konstantin Päts was in Soviet Union's side. He was buying stuff from Russia's railroad for years.
There is even proof, proof written. Now I can answer about that election. Estonian's communist group was pretty small. At start only 100 members. With occupation and Soviet Union number changed into few thousand, but still small. So, most of estonians probably didn't even vote. Only those thousands and few exceptions. That's all I know learned from my grandfather.

@tagaphon Communism is bad for Finland too. They invented some ship crossoverpaths, and you guys ( communists ) stole that land. But the Finnish cannot just leave it, so they rent it from russians for 3,500,000 euros a year ! If the communists would be so great, they would give the Finnish, they're invention back.

My estonians friend. Estonians would have given hell in 1939. Soviet Arm army did not even have those winter caps back than. What is it that they call it, was it ushanka or something. You saw russians ran in 1941.

@tagaphon All I know, is Estonia (though people wanted to fight) they didn't. Was it fear, outmatch? No man can no truth 100%. Well, people weren't enslaved literally. Just they couldn't have speak and do certain things. They had to sing songs of Russia or from Russia, but never the estonian ones, talking about freedom and estonia. We just lost our land, government, freedom to do certain things and we got poorer too. Not to mention all the people sent to Siberia.

@mRRandak In Estonian villages was hardly a single Russian. As far I judge from very poor Russian of Estonians they didn't speak it very often. Are the songs such a big punishment? And about Siberia. Do you know many Estonians whose grandparents were sent to Siberia?
