Well all i can say is that this is not a flat coated retriever,For me it looks like a "street mix".I got my first flat back in 95 and this is definately NOT a flat.

That's right, this is absolutely not a Flatcoated Retriever, probably a hybrid of more races... I have a full bred Flatcoated Retriever.I've seen this before, I know a family that think they have a Weimaranian and they insist it is one, but it's not, in fact. My sister once met this man with a Clumber Spaniel and this guy said it was a Cocker Spaniel! Maybe someone sold it to the guy, saying it was a Cocker Spaniel... what is it with people sometimes...

Yea I was going to say, this isn't a purebred Flatcoat if anything. They get around the size of a golden retriever. This one could be part spaniel.
