How wonderful to see the national pride on the faces of athletes and spectators, especially when their team won gold and their national anthem was played. This is not an issue at all, even the girl who sang agreed to make the switch, she said she would be satisfied as long as her voice is used, one is pretty, and the other has good voice, wouldnt it be good to use the elements from both of them? since one girl is prettier she does the performing part, do you really need to make the other girl stand next to her and have a sign up saying "that was my voice"? a simple procedure drew such ridiculous attention(thnx to the hypocritical western media)
It's more about the message that this sends. Telling a seven year old she's not good enough because they don't think she's cute, how on Earth could that be alright? It's not even just about Lin and Yang, but the mentality of a government who would do that. They believe it not acceptable to present this little girl because her teeth aren't straight, and they say her face it too chubby? That's what people are upset about, not the idea of lip-syncing.
What is fake and what is real? I think Sydney is filthy after my visits overseas and that Australians are too loud and unsophisiticated after my visit to the Scandanavian countries & Japan. Australia doesn't have great tv stations after my visit to England and Austlalians could learn to love their family and neighbours more after my visit to Indonesia. Lip-syncher is not the first time it happend in Olympics. Salt Lake City Winter Olympics is a prime example. As the furry white creatures sang during the opening ceremony, it was actually pre recorded by Cathedral of the Madeleine's choir school.
Lip-sycher is no big deal, but due to JEALOUSY, western media have to nitpick small things and blow it all out of proportion to make the best opening ceremony in history seem as though it wasn't as spectacular as most people perceived it to be.

The fireworkd was real. Only the televised version was digitally produced because it was too dangerous to film right above them. But the last "footprint" was real. If Chinese authorties risked the lives of airmen to just "show off," the whole world would condemn them, and rightly so. Three workmen died during the construction of the "Bird's Nest" stadium, and they told the world.

Yes, no crime in China. So why does China execute more people than any other country on the planet? Such civil and polite people are Chinese. I couldn't even sit on chairs in a bus over there because they were covered in spit and people next to me were pushing and shoving and burning my arms and face with their cigarettes. Trust me, the smallest things can make a big difference. My 5 year old cousin came up to me and said that she wanted to "fix" her face so she could become a famous singer. When I asked her where she got that idea from, she said she didn't want someone else singing her song like the little girl in China. Something like this is not "trivial"... this incident falls right in with genocide and slaughter... Why do these things happen? Because people don't accept eachother for who they are.

Yeah, these are shameful imperfections. But the ceremony team did spend over 3 years to prepare just the ceremony itself. And all western media just keep picking on some imperfections and ignore all their efforts on every single details. If the Chinese directors picked on a little singer because she's not perfect, Americans are picking on Chinese for these imperfections as well. This is not an issue at all, even the girl who sang agreed to make the switch, she said she would be satisfied as long as her voice is used, one is pretty, and the other has good voice, wouldnt it be good to use the elements from both of them? since one girl is prettier she does the performing part, do you really need to make the other girl stand next to her and have a sign up saying "that was my voice"? a simple procedure drew such ridiculous attention(thnx to the hypocritical western media)
