  • this is called the briggs-rauscher reaction. It is comprised of 3 solutions

    1. Potassium Iodate, Sulfuric Acid, and Water

    2. 30% Hydrogen peroxide solution

    3. Malonic Acid, Manganese sulfate monohydrate, starch and water

  • we diluted the hydrogen peroxide to 6%

  • @joelarrington89 if you want that rich deep ultramarine colour, you put it up to 30% but whenever we do this at school we have to put it to about 10% which is a bitch
