Incorrect. Firefighter Pipe and Drum Corps around this country are funded through the monies of the members in group, and generous donations of those who appreciate the time-tested, time-honored symbolism and importance that is the Pipes and Drums.

Those members of the Fire Service who dedicate themselves to this near lost art, embody the tradition, sacrifice, and discipline, that has made the American Fire Service the symbol of steadfastness in this country.

I know, and I agree. We had to tune an hour before stepping off (before the doors opened) and then wait backstage in a stairwell remaining quiet. So you're right. We did the best we could given the circumstances though.
