This craps hard. Took me a month to learn be able to play the beggining lick in the other video, probobly another month for this one. But practice makes perfect.
ok i have a question, ive been playing for a while and i have decent hand/finger speed im have trouble making a smooth transition between the two positions..right now im only working on the down stroke part but is there any tips you can give me to make that transition smoother, i have the sweep timing down but i just sound sloppy whenever i try to move my hand up to the neck..thanks man!
I'm living thru the same nightmare, the transition sweeping back up, I can do it fast either down or up but the transition in between is gona take a lot of patience that I lack, I need anwers, anyone?
Well, what I've learned in the time I've been playing guitar is that there are no short cuts. If something sounds bad or sloppy, you may be playing it wrong. If thats not the case, you simply need to practice it over and over until you get it.
practice doesn't make perfect - perfect practice makes perfect. isolate the difficulty and get it smooth, then work on the whole phrase with a metronome. don't move up the speed until it is flawless. sorry, that's the only way i know to get speed. As Steve Morse said, "speed without accuracy doesn't count."
if you dont mind, in the next lesson you make can you put the tabs for the things you play in the info box? its confusing sometimes trying to listen to what your saying and making sure im playing everything. great lesson by the way

wow that's really hard! This sweep is much easier (because you stay in one position) if you do:
A: 12, 15
d:14
G 14
B: 13
E: 12, 17
then work backwards.
