  • our school had ibooks that did this, imagine a class of 25 people doing this. used to sound like a big ol fart fest.

  • Very normal

  • Try this:

There is a video called "**SOLUTION** Macbook hinge problem".

  • mine had this problem. Open and close the lid quickly 10-15 times, should fix the problem. The hinge is self lubricating...

  • @P4DDYV Fuck sake thanks and all, but just did this and made it twice as bad!!! jeez

  • Only fix is to open it up and lubricate the hinges

  • Lol... at least it sounds like somebody's making dirty things xD... mines sounds like crushing cockroaches... :S

  • my brand new unibody mbp has that same sound, its so annoying

  • My black 3 yr old MacBook does the same thing a bit louder to. Fricken hate it. Will be buying a new MacBook pro at bestbuy innext few weeks.

  • macbook pro does the same for me just got it to its also close kinda crooked

  • Use some Remoil on those hinges, it is more viscous than WD-40 and has Teflon.

  • maybee you should try wd40

  • The wonderful sound of cheap hinges with no lube.

  • Did it die?

  • that is not nearly as bad as my macbook. i have tried tightening/loosening my screws near the hinge and it has not helped and i am afraid WD-40 will ruin my laptop.

  • that same thing hapende at the macbook at betbuy and it was black also

  • ahha

    ahahahahahahahahaha

    ahhaahha

    lol

    lmao

  • jesus christ! stop fucking with it... you got OCD or something? if you don't rock it back and forth, it won't squeak!

  • LOL!

  • lol..you can play some music with it.
