After about 70 uses of the Launch control your transmission breaks in this car costing about 20-28,000 dollars to replace... and Nissan does not replace it under warranty since they warn you not to use traction control cause it voids warranty.

Without launch control this car is no where close to any of these other super or luxury cars.

Therefore as amazing as this car is... it's extremely limited.

That's for the 2009 model . The issue has been addressed since then. Turning off VDC no longer voids your warranty.

Drove one of these the other day... most disappointing driving experience ever, only behind perhaps some of the old ferraris. A well trained driver can beat this car around the racetrack in a car with about 1/2 of the power and agility.

@adoluke nonono, It's not auto. Semi automatic sequential gearbox is not an automatic. Automatic is when a car automatically shifts for you, in f1 you need to pull the shift paddles to shift. The difference is that the clutch is electrohydraulically operated in every shift except for when launching. Believe it or not the f1 tranny is closer to a manual than the gt-r tran, which has a dual clutch design but again is not truly automatic, just has an automatic mode. generally torque converter=auto

Because it's got an auto tranny. The only time you would even hear the BoV is when you get on the gas and then just let off. You wouldn't hear it between shifts. The DSG tranny is too quick, it holds boost, not dumps it.

well because of improved technology, we can now select which ever gears we want without the need of a clutch. And now these paddle shifters can shift better than manual because for a driver to shift well it takes years of practice, but for the paddle shifters, you dont even need.

There is no R35 equipped with a 6spd. Honestly, are you all like 15 and have yet to drive a car? I know a F1 transmission completes shifts faster! My point is, the fastest production cars around the nurburgring were 6spd manuals.. WITH 3 PEDALS. That's where the whole "7:22, 7:26" thing came from. Those are the times for the 6spd ZR1 and the 6spd ACR Viper. The paddle shift GTR did it in 7:29. I like all of these cars, but paddle shifters aren't always faster around a track.

Use the manual "R" setting for the gearbox, instead of the automatic confort one!

And gearchange manually, you will get more fierce acceleration and incredibly fast gearchanges!

Using this GT-R in confort automatic for a pedal to the metal acceleration is a real paradox!
