  • This is beautiful

  • This is a militay song for couples. 0326 Us Marines

  • That's ok. :) I am glad that you now know that John Denver is the original singer of "Leaving On A Jet Plane." When I first heard that Peter, Paul, Mary were the original singers, I researched it and said that they were wrong. Besides, I believe they ruined the song!! :(

  • Peter, Paul, Mary were not the original singers of "Leaving On A Jet Plane." It was written by John Denver originally so he was the original singer of the song. Peter, Paul, Mary copied and changed the words around a little bit.

  • @vietasianfox45

You're right, as other people have pointed out. I put an annotation on the video when it first came to my attention; it seemed easier than replacing the entire upload, lol. Sorry about that. When I first posted the video, I hadn't even heard of John Denver's version, but I'm more musically educated now.

  • the first lines of this song let me remind to other song but i dont know to which song:(

    can sameone help me?

  • horrible 1st version....

  • @janervin05

Out of curiosity, are the capital letters necessary to make the magic happen? Or are they just a requirement for posts by spammers such as yourself?

Furthermore, I find that if you don't repost the comment, Samara from "The Ring" will show up and offer to kill your worst enemy. It's crazy, I know, but it seriously works. You can trust me because I'm from the Internet.

  • This is a bad cover. Don't quit your day job.

  • I will try to be gentle since at least you got up and did it but you do have a real fallback job , right .

Move the mic away some and let the piano blend in with the vocals or spend a few bucks and get a harmonizer , the neighborhood dogs will thank you , lol .

You tried out for "Idol" didn't you ?

  • das kam bei der beerdigung von einem kumpel...

  • Omg I'm so sad it's not like this is a huge deal but I just left a cruise and the waiters sang "I'm leaving on the funship" and I almost started to cry because my waiters were awesome and same with everyone else and I didn't want to let it go because I was looking forward to that trip for months and now it's over but as they saw they'll be back again!:) :(

  • after popularizing this song john denver died on a plane crash...!!

  • nice songs

  • Hey! I hear this song in a movie, "Amagidon" (I Think)

  • @ DuctTapeMan17 if you watch the video with his life performance, he says that he wrote it some years ago and what inspired him,... So I don't really think he needed to lie bout such things;P

  • this song is so related to me. im so affected,,, i imagine my girlfriend going to florida =( bye baby. i miss you so much.. i love you!

  • written by J.Denver

  • 25 People who have a different view to this great song........

  • @cheekychic2010

    but thts wht i think

  • @cheekychic2010 Yep I think so - He'll be leaving in a coffin ;)

  • He sounds very flat. He could also use more decorations in his voice. It's sung the easy way.

  • is this you sining? if so....AWESOME!!!!

  • so wonderful this song ♥♥

  • Zeeltlaaagerfeeeling !!!!!!

  • thumbs up if u luv this classic ^^

  • It's not perfectly in tune, but it's not bad at all. When I first heard it, I thought you were Ben Folds.

  • wait, is that voice your's??

  • :`( :-*

  • Every place I go, I'll think of you

Every song I sing, I'll sing for you

When I come back I'll bring your wedding ring

Dream about the days to come

When I won't have to leave alone

About the times I won't have to say

  • iu ich kotze gleich das originla ist 1000'X besser ey!

  • Denver wrote it, PM&M perfected it. If only life was that fair, eh?

  • we sang this in my music class, while we all played guitars

  • UUGHH I want Rancid's version!!

  • lol its actually not that bad to mistake this song because it wasn't a hit when he wrote in fact it didn't become a hit until it got covered by another band though in my opinion it was done best by him and bes tcover was frank sinatra... SUPER AWESOME song though

  • This is a very hard song, so I give you credit for that, but it is VERY flat. Work on that.

  • not as good as the original, but that's to be expected, great job, this is a hard song to get perfect.

  • Good effort Duct but...............Dont give up your day up you r day job

  • @cpnstav Agreed..."o)

  • Nice interpretation. I might point out that even though i like P,P,&M John Denver wrote the song.

  • I heard that he wrote it and they performed it, but that's a bit of a quibbling point. I think I'll put in an annotation on the video, just to clear up that issue. Thanks!

  • As I listen I think that you have to play a stienway I still like it

  • I recommend buying a decent condenser mic and a DI box or at least a cheap mixer with phantom power and a pop killer ... it's not cheap but also not too expensive, but I swear you won't regret it...

  • I actually agree with you, but I'm broke at the moment; I had to pay off the debt I accumulated purchasing textbooks for this semester. Do you have anything specific you'd recommend, preferably on the cheaper side?

  • I purchased one years ago for about 140$ US with a pretty cheap mixer with phantom power for about 60 bucks. The popkiller was extremely expensive (not a membrane, but a metal grid, those were overpriced those days), but you could DIY with cheap stockings, does the job. There are pretty cheap versions of those mics with direct USB connection and integrated Audio interface. Dunno about the quality, perhaps you'll google and read some reviews, but I'd recommend saving some money and go for it.

  • I agree that the pitchs are hard to hit but you have a great voice the piano is Really great Is that a Stienway???? Smiles hear XOXO THE TEXAN

  • Thanks! I'm going to be doing this song again soon, and hopefully the pitchiness won't follow me into the next recording. The piano is a Kawai, I believe... I'll have to check on that to be sure, though.

  • I like it :)

  • stop to sing please

  • Wonderfull. Beautiful Phrases. : )

  • I agree about the lyrics; they're one reason I decided to do this song. Thank you!

  • actually i think this is originally john denver's song not p,p&m... great cover though :)

  • Really? I didn't know that... I've only ever heard the one version. Thanks!

  • Actually, It was written by John Denver, but originally recorded by Peter Paul and Mary. It wasn't till two years later that John recorded his own version. Interestingly enough later in his career he died in a plane crash.

  • Also, beautiful cover of the song.

  • Wow, I'm learning all KINDS of musical history... this is much cooler than my class on the subject, I assure you. Anyway, thanks!

  • I think that you should concentrate on being more of a vocal stylist rather than trying to sing it straight. I really think with your playing style, which is good, you could develop an interesting vocal style that would do your playing justice.

  • Hm. Yes, I think I see what you mean, and trying to follow your advice would be a good idea. Do you have any more specific suggestions, just as starting points?

  • sure, I would sing it more in a conversational manner. Don't be afraid to let the song breathe. allow your playing to augment your singing. To fill in those spaces a little when in a conversation you would be thinking of what to say next.

    Just keep at it.....

  • So probably a bit slower tempo, then... Well, I don't have a piano with me at the moment, but I'll try re-recording when I can get my hands on one.

  • Nice job, I really like it.

  • Thanks!

  • Don't mind the negative comments. It sounds really very nice, and your voice fits perfectly with your playing. I enjoyed it! Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks! I'm going to do another version, I think, at some point in the near future; hopefully it will turn out better.

  • I think it´s not so good I know lots of better versions

  • not band accompy.., accompnay..., piano player, but get another singer

  • hello you !

come up and see my new vidss ((:

    i nd ur opinion !!

  • Actually it's by John Denver. Not Peter, Paul and Mary. Ironically John Denver died when he crashed a plane....

  • To reply to your other comment, yes; I did both parts. (Not at the same time, since my piano doesn't fit in my closet.) I agree that it's pitchy; I was wondering about doing another version, now that I've had more practice. Thanks!

  • you do sing good but its not as good as the real one

  • Well, no. I'm a teenager with no musical training who sang this in his closet with a web-conferencing mic hooked up to his Dell. I wasn't thinking I'd come even CLOSE to matching the original; they're way better.

  • I like it. What else you got?

  • A few videos, but they're mostly old ones. I'm going to post my latest project soon, though.

  • Thanks! Unfortunately, I'm much pitchier... :-(

  • you would sound good with me,

  • Really? In what capacity?
