that was not a bee it was a 2 inch european hornet which is why the dragon fly got its ass wooped.

Poor dragonfly I wanted it to win

I saw a blue dragonfly eating a yellow-jacket at the lake near my house just the other day, seems the dragonfly didn't want to share the waterhole and decided to eat the wasp's head off from the back.

Its actually quite common to see a dragonfly going after a bee or a wasp since they are such killers. A bite from one will make you bleed and hurt real bad, had an experience with one landing on my hand and taking a good bite thinking I was edible.
