I will sing this at a WWII veteran's funeral soon, I'm gunna wear a red dress and belt it out as true to the lyrics as humanly possible. THANK YOU for helping me get the lyrics, especially the oft-overlooked spoken part at the beginning. Excellent post.
I have noticed that there are many ignorant cowards who hide behind their screen name. asd910ddm is one of them. He must have a lot of anger and guilt in his sniveling little body. Mark, your song versions are arranged very well and always a pleasure to hear.
Id rater hear to cats bang in a sack than this guy sing...maybe when you grow up you'll get the other half of that guitar. or maybe i cant see the whole thing cuz your man boobs are covering it...do us a favor and start playing the harmonica
by the way i will am leaving this comment up so that others can see how ignorant this person is. Please visit his YT site and post a suitable comments on the level of his ignorance.
the instrument is a DaSilva SM-1. All Koa with tortoise shell binding. Michael DaSilva is a ukulele luthier in Berkeley CA. Very reasonable pricing for an instrument built for you. Better (quality, sound) than you could ever purchase from the main brands. That goes for any luthier built insturments
Fran, the music is from the "Real Jazz Standards Fake Book" C - edition by Hal Leonard (ISBN 0-634-02155-9) halleeonard(dot)com. It is about $40. There are over 240 songs in the book as advertised. This is a great resource. I would put this one in your library.
very well performed and much enjoyed...again and again
