I usually allow the first two colors tox dryz before adding the blue. Otherwise the sky would turn grey rather than have luminous color,

Do you let the colors almost dry prior to adding the next color? my pink and gold disappear.....suggestions? thanks!

Perhaps you are not using enough color in the washes. Actually, you don't want the colors to be strong. Just a hint of color on the white paper is all you need to create a mood. You can always add another wash of gold or pink if needed.

Cobalt Blue Hue (Holbein), Opera (Holbein) and Quinacridone Gold (WN or Daniel Smith)
