I think what Dave was getting at was there's more to being in a band than just the music. He and Dave M. are best buddies. That element effects the band more than most know. Now, not only Megadeth can entertain and make the audience happy, now they can entertain and make themselves happy.

Rust In Peace.. Polaris is my favourite megadeth song, and i was fortunate enough to catch these guys playing it last year. My fucking god, that song is so awesome, and they nailed it live.

I wonder if Dave Mustaine's arrogant side would let him admit that most Megadeth fans didn't consider the recent versions of the band as true Megadeth without Dave Ellefson? Mustaine may be the driving force but Ellefson has a lot of respect from the fans as the other original band member.

@gypsylurve Meh, There was only 3 albums without David in them, and Endgame was easily just as incredible as anything Megadeth's written in the past (except for giants like RIP, PS, and CTE). Still, with Ellefson back, we have Megadeth again and it's best. Can't wait for the next album this year, I'm betting it'll be better than the past 3 amazing albums we've received.

@IAmDeathKnight Metallica isn't so much Metal anymore. If Megadeth's thrash element goes out the window by trying to be different & making 'Deth a success it'll fail. Metallica on the other hand have a bit more of melodic friendly music knowledge. I agree though they're both giants. Living Legends at that

Isnt it weird that Dave once said that he thinks Megadeth is a failure to him... he shouldnt compare Medageth and Metallica so much, and even if he does... they're both giants in metal, and to say that metallica is better than megadeth is weird considering the amount of successful albums megadeth has produces and the amount of failed albums that metallica has produced, u always know that a megadeth album will be great, when metallica albums often is a dissapointment... Thats my opinion :)

@IAmDeathknight Well Mustaine stop comparing Megadeth to Metallica right after Some Kind Of Monster. I like both bands, I actually got into Megadeth through Metallica, but Death Magnetic was alright, they don't give you that headbang feel anymore. But Megadeth's 3 recent albums have a load of songs that make you want to pit and stuff.
