This goddamn song just does something to me. It feels like a Sesame Street song or Dr. Suess book or something and just makes me feel good in every way.
im from cali but damn i gotta say pretty much 90% of all the music i listen to and consider good is straight out of SEATTLE seems like that town is the musical mecca or somethin lol
It's been a bad couple of days for me but once I heard this song, it put a smile on my face. Thank you Blue Scholars, you may have just saved my life.
Go point. I just would like it if the people where I live at really listen to them. Probably only a handful do but at least they have a strong fanbase. I showed their music to a couple of my friends and now they have a new favorite group.
alternative radio stations should play their shit...cuz the bitches at kube just arnt tryna get anybody up from the town. but maybe like 107.7 or 98.9, even though the blue scholars are hip-hop, i think itd work
I'm from the NE and I'm pretty sure if some radios get a listen to them they could go places. I just hope they don't give up and just keep makin music forever like the Beastie Boys do.
@ShadeSigma they already are wherever it is you're talking about. their fan base is huge and there is no need to have mainstream radio ruin them. cinemetropolis - the album - is proof enough that their fans are here to stay no matter what.
@ShadeSigma I don't understand why they don't get more exposure becasue unlike most underground hip-hop I actually think they have a lot of mainstream appeal. I'm sure even people who don't listen to rap would like Blue Scholars.
@19MJsPr89 they didn't used to be very main stream sounding. honestly im not a big fan of the new album but i still respect it and blue scholars are still one of my favorite hip hop albums
@guthrielindquist1 Personally I prefer their debut and Bayani, but I also quite like the direction they're currently going in, even if now they do sound like a much improved version of Chiddy Bang lol.
@19MJsPr89 bayani is my favorite also. I don't think their new stuff is bad but its just not my favorite tone of blue scholars. I like songs more like joe metro and burnt offerings. but im glad they are still making new music and not trying to hate on anyone who loves this album
@19MJsPr89 Check out a video called "Adventures of Blueprint What happened to the Radio?" Rymesayers rapper blueprint explains whats going on in the industry
@19MJsPr89 It's simple really. If they go mainstream, people would expect them to sign with a big record label. As a result, they'd be forced to be under the dictatorship of greedy, big money corporates. And thus, it would be harder to stay in touch with their smaller fan base.
And yeah, I used to be into hip hop like Nas but then I started listening to more technical, progressive and avant-garde music. These days, Blue Scholars are one of the few hip-hop acts I can actually enjoy completely.
Shit is tight..Nice

@19MJsPr89 going mainstream is how you ruin music and get compared to lil wayne. -_-
Always remember hip hop isn't dead. It's just buried underground.
