  • @4084Lizzy then why you click on it?

  • this is so stupid. woman get the epidual injection when they have kids and ALWAYS get back pains later . your just making it worse

  • @paintballworrior1

Actually, birthing epidurals uses a completely different medication. Steroid epidurals are very dangerous. In fact, the drugs are NOT approved for this use by the FDA.

  • do they knock you out for this? not saying im a wuss, but im not fond of needles...especially in an area like this lol

  • I had my first Injection today and am feeling pretty sore. I have a severe bulging disc in c5/c6 and will be having an artificial disc replacement in two months. I'm hoping these injections will give me some pain relief in the mean time. Anyways, my doctor only used lidocaine to numb the injection site and the actual injection did not hurt. For me the painful part was the actual medicine, it burned immediately and was sore and numb all through my arm and into my hand. Six hours later I am feel

  • icarly brought me here >.>

  • @aaronrocks5r me too

  • So does this hurt? I do not think my pain management Dr does not do sedation. How long does it take and what hurts more the first shot to numb your or the procedure itself?

  • Be sure to try conservative methods such as chiropractic first!

  • I had a mild bulge on my c-5 and c-6 had pain on left shoulder could not work out anymore. After 2 days of the injection I started feeling a tingling sensation on my left arm and my thumb feels numb and both of my arms feel like they are burning. I did not have this before, also my skin is gets really red when i do some physical activity, anybody out there has had any side effects close to mine. Are they going to go away. :(

  • I have had this done twice, each side of my neck. No sedative. No IV. No "twilight". No pain meds. (my choice) He instructs me to take 2 percocet prior to the procedue but I have to drive myself. So I go without anything. It's a stick and a burn. No big deal. Over with in 10-15 minutes. We chat during the whole procedure. (He is cracking jokes for most of it) Neck is a little tender the next day or 2. I just "shiver" a little right after the procedure. He actually does 4 different inj sites

  • Most of the time these procedures are done under what's called a "twighlight" sleep. For most people this is good enough. For those of you who don't think that'll be enough, you need to talk to the anesthesiologist in charge of your procedure. They will do their best to make you comfortable.

    Good luck

  • does anyone know if you are actually put to sleep all the way with this or just given medicine to relax? I am getting one next week and I am not sure which. Thanks.

  • I am getting my 2nd today i'm not sure if I want it the side effects really get me. Do you get any?
