  • I guess taking off the shell would have been too much work.

  • are you customizing your motor with rust?

  • @GHJFGJKGH lol, no but they are all still running with a few exceptions

  • I'm shocked this didn't ruin your engine. NEVER do this again please. For the sake of paying all that money, this would typically ruin any engine you have. Water and electricity DO NOT MIX.

If you want to clean it, FIRST remove the shell from the body. This will insure no water gets into the motor, wheels, or more.

  • lol... I'm surprised that didn't wreck the model mate. You should have left it there to make it look weathered.

  • Holy shit, thats all I can say to this....

  • hey check out some of y vis trainman122 there is some g scale train vids

  • i wouldnt dare to wet my train or track not even if it was dirty.i just dont want to take chances

  • @trainwreckmaster well, im sure there are other ways to clean them but this is one way that worked for me.

  • Wouldn't the water and the soap mess the train up? Does it get into the motor area?

  • the soot makes it look weathered

  • @re49991 Ya, i know.

  • nice

  • leave it on the top its makes it look weathered

  • @jmsschooner I did.

  • hey i have a question, my ho scale train just recenty stoped working and i dont know why. i know its not my engine because none of my engines work now, and all the wheels do is spark. i am 99% sure it is the track but i want to know how to clean the track to get them running again because ive spent over $1,000 in trains. Thank you

  • @keatrobot I use some towels or some type of tissue paper and GOO-B-GONE.

  • @trainman122 has that ever happened to you?

  • @keatrobot yes, although I must admit that I've never had all of the locomotives not working on bad track at once. That's really weird.

  • @trainman122 okay. thanks bro.

  • I have that exact engine used it makes alot of noise!

  • It's me, again. First, let me say that I didn't hear about the fire part . Sud? Oh yah you would really want to get that off. You know more about model trains than I do. I'm only 12. Just a question. Do you know why my engine is going slower than it did when I first got it (2 days ago)? The wheels are clean and so are the tracks. It is an Athearn SW1000 HO Scale. Please comment back. ;)

  • @jadog31 The only thing that I can suggest for that is to just let it run for a few and it might go back to normal. When I run my trains they are slow at first but after a few laps around the layout they start to regain there speed.

  • @jadog31 hey buddy did u work the loco in ?

  • @coops8291 Some worked but some others don't work anymore because of fire damage.

  • I might need this idea!

  • If that gets into the motor wont it wreck it? You can take the body or "shell" of of the engine.Besides, when it's dirty it looks real.

  • @jadog31 model trains are stronger than you think.

  • that looks like it's going to wreak it

  • @firelitebg12L not really, model trains are pretty tough.

  • @rokenbok54 all I can say for that is get new track.

  • @trainman122 oh wait, never mind about the track!! Peach Creek model shop helped me out alot with some grease and claening stuff!! they run fine!! thanks anyways!! :D :D :D :D

  • That warbbonet acually looked real before you cleaned it

  • @UP5140SD70M ya, BNSF isn't taking good care of them.

  • That works well, what I'd do though is just take the shell off the chasis and then clean it.

    But I like it....

  • @PRRK4Lover it was to hard to open them so I did it this way. all of them work accept for 2 or 3 locomotives that might have been damaged from the smoke.

  • You could probably hurt you connections doing that, and it wont run very well

  • But its still running like a dream and soon I will make videos about my model trains.

  • ahh, not quit shure how good it is 2 use water on a engine? but good idea.

  • those engines are tuff.
