I like Carlin and Hicks both. I don't think they covered the topic better though. I enjoy the surrealism that Moran uses. It makes me laugh more than at Carlin/Hicks. I find their stuff is more like a lecture and that's due to delivery. Having said that I very much enjoy their 'lectures'. It could also be because they are so close to the truth that I find it hard to laugh. It's all subjective anyway.
@HeLovesCulture Theres only a certain amount of things comedians can talk about. Besides chances are the modern generation may not have heard of Bill Hicks/George Carlin (I know I didn't) so a fresh take isn't a bad thing.
I've just finished the video and when the grid of suggestions comes up, the poses from Dylan Moran look like he's directing the Toyota Hiroshimas to school children.
@Stelios480BC Well, he's saying Toyota Hiroshima (refering to the city that was the first target of a nuclear attack) not Horagomus which means nothing.
@gbushimprov Except there's no reason to think that's what he was saying since he pronounces it nothing like the way it should be. While I agree that he _is_ saying that, it sounds like he's saying something like hieronymus (which is a real word).
@theeponym He pronounces it the way english people pronounce it. In Australia we pronounce Hiroshima this way also. I think there are probably a few reasons to think that's what he is saying. Your comment is retarded.
We're into making fun of consumerism with our "still using" channel. With the pretense that using outdated technology is like drug use that needs to be cured. Because that's the message we get from ads and media. Gotta have the latest iPad, iPhone, etc. We're inviting other youtubers (that's you!) will come and share their usage of "outdated" technology...
So funny it hurts XD
