Why in hell isn't this awesome song on "Helplessness Blues"? This song is too good to languish in obscurity. It should have been on the new album! It's not like there wasn't enough room for it.

@TIMOTHYSAARINEN I can understand why Pecknold decided not to put this song on the album. It just didn't fit in with the rest of the album. For Helplessness Blues, he was aiming for an album which has a whole greater than the sum of its parts. He definitely succeeded, given that I listen to it front-to-back over and over. Sounds very Steve Reich, like Music for 18 Musicians, and I did read somewhere in an interview that Pecknold is quite a fan so I wouldn't be surprised if that minimalist influence creeps in to the new album. I can't wait!

robin has said that the new album is going to be more chilled and less popy... the ones i found more interesting of their new stuff is lorelai and song number 2 at paris...(not bedoiun dress)... look for them if you havent. and this one is JUST great ... i hope the new album have this tone.
