why the fuck are all these stupid effects put in here?
what would be wrong with a straightforward film just to get the idea across, all this atmospheric music and absurd video techniques used to affect my mind i find insulting. present the facts and leave it at that.
What the fuck is it with these documentaries turning into a sound effect trip?? Same thing with "Surplus". I want to understand the message and that double voice sound gets in the way. First of all worry about delivering the message, thats the most important thing, i believe.
Regardless of whether or not global warming is anthropomorphic, we CERTAINLY contribute to it. Even if we don't, there are countless other environmental crises occurring that are the direct result of civilization.

i think technology in capitalism exploits labour and thus resembles or even becomes capital. we'll either wait for it to all collapse away or -try- and administer it ethically, rationally etc.
But I think we've got a bigger problem on our hands, one that can't be solved by simply stopping. We need a transition, something that doesn't involve simply turning the power off and effectively killing most of the human beings on the planet today.
If we just stop and let the earth heal itself, many millions (if not billions) of people who are dependent upon our technology and industrialized system for food and water will die. Granted, the world is over-populated and there simply is no way for 7 billion people to live sustainably on this planet.
around the 3 min mark it gets really strange. Who would make the vid like this? And if youre going to distort voices, why not put up subtitles? Its hard to hear that Jensen piece around 2:30. You look like a sad puppy dog at 3:00 though...
