  • So there were only two when her husband was alive.

  • @adape0884frank

Oh there were four at the time when her husband was alive.

  • The daughter that is speaking has the essence of her father. what a beautiful tribute to their mother.

  • Does anyone know how Betty died?

  • @kbangish Her grandson burned her house down because he didn't want to be there and she died from burns.

  • @kbangish good look, didn't the dark forces convince the grandson to do it while he was in some type program or jail?

  • i go to dr.betty shabazz.i am glad and honor to attend her school

  • One of the strongest people ever. We love you Betty, and your husband did not die in vain

  • im almost done with Manning Marables Malcolm X a life of reinvention

  • @sullenboy1o3o Wouldn't read meaningless biographies. I'd rather suggest for you to read the autobiography of Malcolm X (if you haven't already). Biographies are not trustworthy.

  • @michaelyouth Meaningless? Manning Marable?

  • @sullenboy1o3o Yes, meaningless. It is a biography. He suggests that Malcolm X was a homosexual and he based this basically on,well nothing.. All the person he allegedly heard this from are dead( wow what a coincidence). Malcolm can't protect himself, that whole book is just a meaningless, poor attempt to destroy his legacy.

  • denzel sounds exactly like malcom

  • Well deserved Dr.Betty Shabazz !!

  • *** YOUTUBE: farrakhan exposed: who really assassinate malcolm x?***

    PAY ATTENTION!!

there are those [black muslims] who feared [mx] --farrakhan...1954 [NOI paper]: suck a man of malcolm is worthy of death -- farrakhan.."two months later, he was killed" (hmmm, you dont' have to be a rocket science to see the connection. the connected dots speak for themselves...noi is GUILTY!!

    malcolm x RIP

  • @afterray Real Talk

  • As a member of the Tlingit tribe, Eagle clan, (NW Native American for the non-natives) I bestow all honors to you, Mrs. Shabazz. You and your husband have contributed much to the cause of equality and fairness. R.I.P.

  • Is it weird that I teared up a little bit?

  • @Q2IN2Y No it isn't. I teared up again when I viewed this and I saw the original broadcast. It shows your humanity and compassion for the hardships and triumphs of others.

  • His daughter Attallah.sry if i misspelled but she is filled with beauty and wisom of righteousness. No doubt.

  • R.I.P. QUEEN ELDER DR BETTY SHABAZZ....DAY SHO DNT MAKEM LIKE HA NO MO...REMINDZ ME OF MY LATE GREAT GRANDMA

  • atallh shabazz looks like a royal queen

  • She looks so beautifal and I felt very sorry for how she died.

  • When she died they made it seem like she was a crack head or something....man she was a doctor.. wow she was not a single mother ..she was a widow...

  • @umsalmaan

Where on earth did you hear that Dr. Betty Shabazz was ever a crackhead? That's unbelievable! One of her daughters, Qubilah, was on drugs and hired a hitman to assassinate Louis Farrakhan.

  • When she died they made it seem like she was a crack head or something....man she was a doctor.. wow

  • very inspiring and powerful love of family on display here..... I thank God for you that your family could lean on each other and that you all stayed together. I pray that my Lord will bless you and give you peace and grace.

  • I respect a lot of black women who are teaching the young women to do well, educate themselves to LOVE and RESPECT good black men and reject the low-life, ghetto trash who love snoopying off the government.

  • he is so hot!!!!!!!!!

  • lmao@ the bible when it said mens hearts will fail them when they see all that they believe in which is a lie is crushed b4 their very eyes

  • WOW I SEE MALCOLM IN ALL HIS DAUGHTERS. I NOTICED ONE DAUGHTER/SISTER WAS MISSING. LOVE TO THE FAMILY. MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL SIX OF YOU SISTERS. STAY STRONG AND BE THERE FOR ONE ANOTHER. LOVE ALWAYS, KIM.

  • that luks really sweet and emotional but i think that the daughters shoud have worn islamic clothes wo show a gud example of muslims and betty too. because if ur a muslim then u have to show that ur a muslim but the daughters might not be muslim we necer no but im sure if the great malcolmm x was alive he wud of wanted them to wear a scarf or hijab.

  • we will never forget r.i.p & Happy Birthday Mr Malcolm X

  • did he do this before or after he did the Malcolm X movie

  • @MsLoveMe27 ....After. Definitely after.

  • The daughter on the far right at the end(our right), with the all black dress and glasses, Malcolm can't deny her, that's definitely Malcolm's daughter.

  • What a real wonderful moment. Mrs. Shadazz was a strong woman indeed and raised 6 lovely daughters. It really is a shame how she died R.I.P. Sister Betty.

  • I never knew much about Betty Shabazz, but if she was Malcolm X's wife she had to be a powerful woman, and also to witness her husband being executed the way he was, she must have been a strong woman. R.I.P Ms. Betty Shabazz..... Tell my mom I love her....

  • It's made me cry too - they've a powerful story.

  • WOW !! That made me ((cry)) Beautiful & Sad @ the same time. RIP Dr Betty Shabazz~~~

  • You talk about a class act and the wonderful essence of her being remains even today. Betty Shabazz, Coretta King and Myrlie Evers were women of brillance, spirituality, great humanitarians and a presence that would stop you in your tracks. I must say, the world is lesser in its existence with both C. King and B. Shabazz gone, however, M. Evers continues the fight for justice and I am very proud and apprecative for all of her efforts as well...

  • May ALLAH be pleased with Betty Shabazz

  • She is STILL wearing a wedding ring.. I love the elders..Oh how I wish i could once again sit in the council of the elders.I am so sad that it seems they are leaving us with no replacements.

I never realized how much wisdom I was surrounded with as a child. Maaaan!

  • Well said!!

  • Amen to that. I've had the honor of getting to know Ilyasah the past few months. She is doing SO much to help that you wouldn't know!

  • Im am yall little brother that yall dont know@ The Shabazz family

  • Wow, that's amazing! That whole family is beautiful! It just upsets me that one of her daughter's son's set his grand ma's house on fire and killed her! That really upset me!

  • Denzel was still in Malcolm mode on this one.

  • @singerphildaniels lol...tru

  • Very moving.

And you can see Malcolm in his beautiful daugters :)

  • Man that was beautiful. Just chokes ya up for real. She, along with Coretta Scott-King were two strong women. Two women who celebrated womenhood but NEVER forgot the men in their lives, Malcolm X and Martin L. King.

  • may allah bless her!!!

i watch for two years sometimes ;-) vidz but this is the first where i cried.

    thanx for upload

  • amin and bless malcom soul and protect his family

  • whatt? when did she die? pregnant with two more, she had twins?

  • this sister is an ICON FOR ALL WOMEN

  • I LOVE THIS SISTER AND HER FAMILY!

  • sisters, where is the Hijab? Your father is such a great figur and icon for all muslims all around. Never forget ALL AROUND IN THE REST OF THE HISTORU.

  • The Shabazz Family chooses not to wear the Hijab.

  • Comment removed

  • Its not your right to tell other muslim women that they should wear the hijab. Its their right and if they so desire to wear the hijab than they will for the sake of God. I am a muslim woman and I wear the hijab and I chose to wear it BUT I would not go around telling women that they SHOULD or that they MUST. If they want to learn about it sure but it is their CHOICE and in the end of the day ITS ALLAH (GOD) WHO JUDGES. thank you!

  • I am sorry. You got a very good point. It was a litlle bit enthusiasm about mr. Malcom X who I admire a lot. Sorry again to you and to the family.

  • @sfam101 Sad shame, the oppressed dress and behave and speak like the ones who once oppressed them.

    No different.

They have become like their master and forgotten their roots, of being African Muslims.

They wanted freedom, and so they got it, without a trace of their roots....

Eat pork, sleep around, dress like them, take drugs, have a drink, go to the church on a sunday......

They cant shackle you in chains no more, so they shackle your mind and teach you their way of SECULAR life!!

  • @sfam101 Its not a choice, its a requirement. A choice would indicate its okay not to wear it, which is wrong. Learn your deen before spouting nonsense..

  • R.I.P. to Dr. Betty Shabazz and Malcolm X, two brilliant and strong individuals.

  • She is blessed...

  • R.I.P. Betty!
