The economy of Africa especially the SSA are not completely monetized as they use goods directly produced from their farm yards. Goods such as cows, goats are not included in the GDP caculation. Given this situation it is very uncertain even to determine the level of poverty. They aslo have the rent acrued from natural resources however the contribution to their survival is very meagre. The last thing is the protruding underground economy which the same are not included in the calculation of GDP
