try taking cover behind the barrier. but dont crouch behind in the middle of the barrier but rather to the side more. dont worry about getting shot in the head cuz the enemy AIs r program to aim for the chest on legendary no matter what angle they r shooting from unless they have a beam rifle, brute shot, or needler. but this trick should work for most of the time.

I think that a good position in Halo co-op on legendary is to take flanking positions right beside the door on either side. So you can take out the ones on the sides while the turret opens up in the middle.

People duel wield SMG's at start because it's the equivalent of duel wielding Assault Rifles.

I don't keep them for a long time, they expend ammo quickly, the 5x23mm Full Metal Jacket rounds do next-to-no damage so I always exchanged them for a BR55 or Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle.

because theres only 3 weapons to choose from and the pistol sucks in halo 2

with no plasma pistol, the br is not as useful

also, the marines can take out lots of the covenant for you
