The ex girlfriend thing is when Lory is talking to him about his role in Dark Moon and how he couldn't play it properly because he'd never been in love. He brings up when Ren's past girlfriends broke up with him by saying "i don't love you anymore, i found someone else," what they really wanted was for Ren to tell them that he loved them and they couldn't leave him. But since he wasn't really, truly in love with them, he just let them go.

In fact a lot of things have complicated all of that from happening (Shou and Reino), and it's frustrating since I was so sure it would happen it vol 16. No such luck though. Anyway it will be coming out soon now, because Ren and Shou are sort of dualing now, but I won't reveal any more. ^.^
