As usual, your lists are horrendous. You hit like two points out of fifteen. You are right that I shouldn't watch them because they make me realize fools like you have absolutely no clue what actual acting is. Bullock didn't deserve it? Matlin didn't deserve it? Cher and Lange didn't deserve it? I truly believe you either didn't watch their roles or base your videos solely on biased opinions which you should state at the beginning of your video... also what a complete fool you are.
@gettruckin If you think Sandra Bullock deserved her Oscar, you're a fucking idiot. It is known as the worst choice ever for Best Actress, and all her competition was superior. Grow a dick you cunt.
Meryl DEFINITELY should have beaten Sandra. Although Sandra was pretty good in her role, there are quiet a few actresses who could have played that part. Nobody else could have replaced Meryl. Her look and character portrayal were out of this world. Just my two cents.
I have to disagree with your pick of Sigourney Weaver over Marlee Matlin on a technical issue. Had the director's cut been released, I would have supported Sigourney Weaver all the way ... bu the theatrical cut stripped out some of her absolute best acting ... it was a real crime!
I disagree with the premise that a performance is one of the worst because it beat out a performance you thought was better. Some great performances are just beat out by other great performances.
That said, I agree that Helen Hunt was the weakest of the 1997 nominees for Best Actress; I would have given the Oscar to Judi Dench.
Some of the weaker winners include Elizabeth Taylor in 1960 (over Shorley Maclaine), and of course Mary Pickford in 1929.
people who make videos like this must be really pathetic to care this much about the way other people perform in their careers lmao. get a real accomplishment for yourself in life cause this is truly sad.
And how can you say Glenda Jackson didnt deserve her 2nd Oscar, that's utter balls???
Oh, and Meryl Streep - most overrated actress in history! Julie and Julia - piss off! Didnt deserve it for Sophie's choice, didnt deserve it for Kramer vs Kramer. Meryl will be winning yet another undeserved Oscar this year for a DREADFUL performance as Margaret Thatcher.
Remember, its a popularity contest not an acting award.
ellen should of beat julia,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and cate beating gwenyth is the biggest disgrace is oscar history it is now well known gwenyth dated the head of oscars at the time and he made her win, shame , shame, shame, kill gweyth , kill gwenyth, save meryl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my opinion, Hilary Swank didn't have any competition that year, I will always remember her Maggie Fitzgerald. By the way, I can't stop laughing with the number one and I don't know why, I guess the way you put it is simply hilarious! I like Sandra, she's a great actress.
Christ, you certainly think too high of yourself don't you? While I agree with many of your choices, I repeat, you're nobody to declare they are the worst in history. And the last part, with all the Sandra mockery? That was just immature, and I thought it was stupid. You don't like them? You're entitled to, and you're entitled to express you opinion. But don't go around declaring they're "God awful", cause not everyone thinks like you. Just because you say it, doesn't make it true
@JasonMovieGuy: Dude, "Suddenly Last Summer" is laughably bad. You lost me with that one. And are we supposed to believe that you've seen every film that included a nominee for Best Actress?
@MultiRazorb If you think Sandra Bullock deserved to be Best Actress (which is his number one worst pic), YOU Have some serious mental issues. Fuck off.
@jasonmovieguy - very interesting and thought provoking list, not just a clash of popular vs quality performance, the only part I'd disagree on is Cher in Moonstruck vs Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction...I believe 100% Glenn Close Should have an Oscar of her own, but for Dangerous Liaisons (she lost to another person on your list, Jodi Foster)
I just want everyone to know that on these videos everyone is biased because you always want your favorite to win so everyone just shut the hell up about who you think deserved it they didn't win because they were never ment to the sooner we all except that the better
I disagree with Geraldine, Jodie, and Simone. Glenn should have won in 88, but Jodie's performance was great. The other two are extremeley deserving, though I need to rewatch Whoopi.
I CANNOT BELIEVE that you missed out Renee Zellwegger for "Chicago" Roxy Hart was a villainous murderess who Renee, although a good actress, played as misunderstood and meek. Were there stage directions in the script that changed the character that is on display in ALL the stage versions!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????!!!!!!!!! What about Helen Hunt in "As Good As It Gets" not the best by A GOOD MILE Judi Dench was robbed both years- the Gwyneth year and the Helen Hunt year
Renée didn't win for "Chicago" (2002), Nicole Kidman did for "The Hours" (2002). Judi Dench wasn't nominated in the same category than Gwyneth Paltrow in 1998, and by the way, Judi did win for Supporting Actress...
Spot one, but believe you forgot one - 2002 Renee in Chicago should have won over Nicole in the Hours - it will be an interesting contest this coming - hard call between your fave Meryl, Viola and Michelle
I agree with some. Others not so much. Catalina Sandino-Moreno should have won over Hilary Swank. Sally Kirkland should have won over Cher. And Marlee Matlin was most deserving that year. The rest I agree with. Good vid
@queefstorm Jennifer Hudson won because the academy loves musicals and she killed it as Effie White not with her acting but with her singing look up "and i'm telling you I'm not going" its for singing that song the way she did thats why she won
Helen Hunt was awesome as was Halle Berry. The worst film Ive ever seen is Black Swan and Portman's performance had me wanting to gauge my eyes out it was that much of a pain...and leave Lange alone, it was deserved all the way
Glenn CLose looks like shes going to finally win this year for albert nobbs. Streep wont even get the sentimental vote this year for yet another caricature. Its going to be Close....Glenn Close
Where is Mary Pickford, who basically bought her Oscar in 1929? Where is Helen Hunt, who won in 1997 at the expense of Judi Dench? Where is Claudette Colbert, who won instead of Bette Davis, who wasn't even nominated for Of Human Bondage in 1934? On the other hand, I find it hard to argue with a straight face that Geraldine Page should not have won over any of her competition.
I agree that Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett and Merryl Streep should have won more often over the years... but still this video shows little respect, especially for the fantastic Sandra Bullock in the Blinde Side.
I watched the whole thing, and was thinking to myself "I haven't seen a single one of these movies..." BUT then I see the #1 worst, and I give this a huge thumbs up!
Helen Hunt should be on here for beating Dame Judi Dench, and that other actress who beat Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard, and Bette Davis in All About Eve! What a travesty
And I fully agree about Sandra Bullock. I can't see anything Oscar-worthy about that performance. Even she knows she won because of her popularity and for no other reason.
I disagree with the biggest part of this. Elizabeth Taylor instead of Grace Kelly that year? Faye Dunaway instead of Katharine Hepburn? Winona Ryder instead of Jessica Lange??? I just agree with this on Cate Blanchett, Glenn Close instead of Cher or whoever instead of Sandra Bullock. And one more thing... I think it was Glenn Close who should have won in 1988, not Meryl Streep.
The timing with the screaming in the music at Sandra Bullock's win was hilarious! And I agree - by far the weakest of the nominees that year. Shouldn't have even been included in the group, and Meryl should've won.
Don't forget Halle Berry for Monster's Ball, Naomi Watts should have won for Mulholland Drive and she wasn't even nominated because the academy has a weird relationship with Lynch. You could also argue that Sissy Spacek should have won for In The Bedroom I guess.
@kevonmartini10 halle was amazing in that role...she deserved hers...naomi got nominated for better work in 21 GRAMS and sissy won for the right role in COAL MINER'S DAUGHTER
i totally disagree with bette davis Cher and katherine heyburn! i really think that fay dunaway is one of the best actresses ever but i don't believe that her performance as bonnie was worth an oscar! katherine deserved it! and i also believe that kate winslet deserved an oscar fot titanic!
OK list, but I disagree wholeheartedly with Foster, Page, Hepburn, and Signoret. Even if you think there were better performances that year, those were *not* weak performances. And it surprised me to say this, because she's not one of my favorite actress, but Bullock probably doesn't belong there, either. Julia Roberts, on the other hand...

When Sandra Bullock won it pretty much meant that any one could win an oscar. An oscar became noting special the day she won.Sandra win still makes me mad that she beat such great actresses as Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren.
@TaraAshleyTWILIGHT21 Well I liked Winslet much better. To me, Swank was just doing a repeat of what she did in "Boys Don't Cry"- poor white trash girl. It was okay, but aside Winslet, Staunton in "Vera Drake" was amazing, and Catalina Sandino Moreno in "Maria Full of Grace" also.
