  • @MrBACONLUBE1 the basic thing why the bond gets broken between OC-CX3 is due to -I effetc of X due to which the bond gets strained, so for the bond to get strained all H should be replaced so OC-CHX2 or OC-CH2X will react only after all H are replaced i.e after OC-CX3 is formed!
