Barbras voice has lowered as she has aged, just as every female singer has. When she was young, soubrette?... maybe on a good day, but she what she was and is a mezzo soprano who uses mostly her chest voice and her signature mix. Still, the best interperter of popular song in the last 50 years!!!

I have no idea why you're trying to apply classical vocal terms to her. She's a very good pop singer. Like almost all female pop singers, she sings mainly in her chest voice, though she modifies her belt to reach C or D above middle C, at least when she was younger.
