In fact he already did have the strength to do it three years ago in "Extended No Feet Pushups (planche pushups): take 2" This is gymnastics training, not that pussy weight training bullshit. Anyone can go out there and lift weights, bulk up, then lift heavier weights. Why don't you see body builders able to do this?

@darkdarkred The main thing is not the triceps and certainly not the biceps. It's the core that is the fundamental in this exercise. Core = Abdominals and Obliques if you didn't now :)
@mmacritics Core = lower back, Glutes, abs, obliques, hip flexors, and everything els above the quad and below the chest. Not just abs and oliques. You should know this!! Dont forget about the posterior chain... Everyone does. NO one really values it, and it in definately the most important area of the body for posture and true strength.
Go search for vids on how to do the planche .. But its just doing pseudo planche pushups ( hands closte to your hips when ya do the pushups ) Frogstand, tuckplanche, advanced tuckplanche, straddle planche. Planche.. And remember to train lower back and a little abs. Doing dips / pushups against a wall is a great exercise too ! ;D
