I've always wondered what Charlie and Peter would do about the fact that Ed's table-leg-impaled corpse was still lying on Charlie's hallway floor at the end of the movie. Dealing with that would be a really grisly come down after taking out Jerry and saving your girlfriend from Damnation. Unless he came clean to the cops, Charlie would have to do a cover-up job; in which case, I think he'd feel guilty as hell when everyone wondered where Ed had got to.

Not that any of this matters at all.

Ah, good point! I never really considered that part at the end properly. I just assumed the staring red eyes came from a long-time vampire friend of Jerry's, while the quote was simply a lead into the end music. Your take on it would certainly tie up a few loose ends.

Today's horror movies can't hold a friggin' candle to greats like "Fright Night". Just look at this terrific movie: with Roddy McDowell's witty and funny take-off of Vincent Price, Chris Sarandon's oh-so-sexy vampire (beats the hell out of anything in "Twilight") and of course Stephen Geoffrey's inspired portrayal of Evil Ed. Horror movies today don't rely on good dialogue and story, they are just downright depressing things with CGI gore and mutiliations (in Dolby Stereo) Painful to watch.

Yeah actually it is weird--as a kid I thought the movie "IT" was a great movie ( I hate clowns). As an adult of 30 years old, I realize that it was actually not that good and was not based on the book. The only good part is that Tim Curry played Pennywise the Clown to the "T". He did a great job. But the movie was poorly rated by critics and was PG-13. The remake of the movie will be rated R from what I read--and will based on the book.
