Love how they removed my comment? Im just saying a GT3 would spank a ROUSH please lets be realistic at least? Unless they are crap drivers which they may well be the ROUSH wouldnt stand a chance! And I agree build quality on vetts is garbage but they are fast and purpose built!

If you look at the standings from the 2011 One Lap of America, the GT3's that were in the competition did not beat us...we beat them. We finished 1st and 2nd in class, and had one of the two cars finish 3rd overall...ahead of multiple Porsche's, a few of them were GT2's and GT3's. The two cars that finished in front of us were a 2010 GTR, and a 2011 Turbo S. With their mod's factored in, you could purchase six or so 2012 Stage 3's.

@ROUSHperformance Ok I dont really see One lap of America as the proper testing grounds for these two cars but under pure specs and performance the GT3 and the Porsche 911 Turbo have consistently outran the GTR in multiple publications! Im not saying it was driver error but who knows thats not to say these cars can even be put in the same boat. I just would like to reiterate that I like the ROUSH Mustang it has a mean look and good performance I just think in a test group the GT3 would do better

@ROUSHperformance @FalkataSports I raced my 2010 Stage 3 with the Porsche Club and was put into the "Bastard Club." A distinguished group of drivers that could outrun the Porsche driving instructors. They drove Porsches of all types, including modded 944's, 928's, 911 Turbos, and GT3 RS'. The 911 Turbo was the only car that ever gave me a good run, but it was my second track appearance in my 600+ hp Roush and I was driving conservatively :D But my 2010 was faster than the '11's and 12;s ;-)

@ROUSHperformance I know your trying to advertise and sell your product but come on...lets be realistic. A nearly $300K GTR and nearly $400K Turbo S can only beat your stage 3 roush? That's one hell of a mod list just to take out a 60K mustang...

@Masarame82p Those were the two vehicles that outperformed our 3rd place car to capture 1st and 2nd overall. We aren't saying those are the only vehicles that can outperform our RS3, but we are saying that it is pretty impressive that our stock optioned RS3 was able hang with those highly modified cars, and was able to outperform the rest of the field during the 2011 One Lap of America. This was an endurance and performance test for our vehicles, and we were very happy with the results.

@ROUSHperformance Uh...what do you mean by stock? If that RS3 mustang is stock...than I guess an AMS GTR and Techart Porsche Turbo S is stock then? I could of sworn a roush mustang was a highly modified version of the regular mustang?

@Masarame82p Stock - You can buy the RS3 at ROUSH authorized Ford dealers, and they come warrantied for 3yr/36k (same as stock 5.0L). We finished 3rd and 11th overall, a pretty nice accomplishment when you compare our mods to some of the other entrants. You said it yourself, $300k and $400k GTRs and Porsches - much more than the roughly $60k for the same RS3 OLoA 2011 build. To the original point, we never stated those were the only cars that could beat us, but those two cars did beat us.

How much is a GT3? $125k? You're failing to compare the Stage 3 to a car that is even in the same price range my man. It's like saying a Bugatti Veyron is faster than a Chevette...or that the build quality of the Ferrari is better than a Nissan Versa...no shit!

@FalkataSports What?! Front engine, rear wheel drive. Just like God intended ;) I've driven mid-engine cars and there's no doubt they have an advantage in handling, but this layout is so much fun! Its what pony cars are about!

@FalkataSports Having owned a Roush, the interior quality is exceptional. As for the overall build... Roush did a lot more work on their 2010 where their forged 4.6 was taking 15lbs of boost. The new cars' engines arent stressed as hard so they arent built up as much and make less power. BUT, they're rock solid reliable and extremely durable.

@MustangsCanTurnToo In this price range Roush plans to contend with major players Audi, Porsche, Corvette, Lotus and afew other major brands not to mention used car potential classic muscle or even used exotics? 60,000 will buy you a nice car and no matter how you dress up a mustang its still a mustang! Im not saying its not fast and quality built but if its better then the brands mentioned above id be surprised!

@FalkataSports I once made a model of a Jeep Grand Cherokee out of index cards and paperclips that was better quality than a Corvette. You can't knock these cars until you drive them. I raced my Roush with a local Porsche owners club and beat the pants off GT3's, 911 Turbos and everything else. Vipers, Corvettes, GT500's, Elises, F430's, DBS's, GTR's, M3's, and V10 powered M5's all came out to play too; but the car to beat was my lil blue Roush :)

@FalkataSports ive been living with one for a year and its perfect, i have a mercedes and i never drive it man. if u are into the ultimate in luxury then go buy a bentley, this car obv its not the best, but they arent charging u for it either, its awesome go test drive one if u really want to know

Way cool but not for $60,000. Why wouldn't you just get a Shelby GT500 for $10k cheaper? You can buy a hell of a lot of go fast parts for $10k and you have a 5.4L and the Shelby name.

@svtmattUT The new shelby's are still too front heavy. The GT500 is the slowest 500+hp car in the world and can't touch a Roush in the corners.
